I can’t even begin to imagine how overwhelming the job of a rescuer is. It feels like they are constantly in a rush to help an animal in need.
In one moment, they are doing their best to save a dog, only to realize that there are more dogs just like that one who are also waiting for help.
It must feel overwhelming knowing that you want to help every pup you come across, but it’s just not that simple. Every rescue requires time and patience.
But, every once in a while, they will make an exception and do their best to help as many animals as they can.
That isn’t so different from what happened to Lea Elise Haverstock. She is a rescuer from Florida who was just taking a pup named Hennessy to a vet when she suddenly saw something outside the clinic that shocked her.
What Was It?!
After they were outside the vet’s office in Florida, Lea saw a box nearby. Faint cries were coming out of it, so she immediately rushed to check what was inside.
To her surprise, it was a box filled with kittens. She was incredibly surprised by this development. Who would leave small kittens here and why?
Since she was there early for the dog’s vet appointment, she thought about asking someone from the clinic for help. She had no idea how long these kittens were suffering.
Hennessy, on the other hand, was trying his best to be supportive of Lea. He looked at the kittens and remained calm the whole time. He knew that the situation was under control.
An employee inside came to help. The vet tech noticed that the kittens were really scared and tried not to do anything to scare them even more.
Everything Was Going To Be Okay
Lea realized that they were probably out there at least one night and they were going to need help from the kind veterinarian.
The veterinarian took them to the clinic and placed them in a comfortable spot where they could rest and relax.
They will likely receive food, medical care, and everything they need. They don’t look like they are sick or malnourished so they are going to make it.
The best part? The veterinary hospital they were in was well connected with other rescues, so these kittens will surely receive a chance to find a new home very soon.
As for Hennessy, he received all the help that he needed, so in the end, everything turned out fine for everyone.
I really hope that these kittens find a new home as soon as possible and I am glad that such a kind person found them and gave them the chance to live a new life.
