For many owners, it’s unimaginable to see our dogs scared of something. The moment something like that happens, we just want to comfort them and give them a big hug.
Well, some pups aren’t that lucky. They will end up getting adopted, believing that they have found the perfect home only to realize their owner doesn’t like them.
Most dogs who live in such awful conditions end up developing a serious fear of humans and this means they end up having serious trust issues.
Whenever they meet someone they know, they struggle to adapt. Not too long ago, one sweet pup went through the same thing. Fortunately, she turned her life around when she met someone special.
She Didn’t Even Want To Walk
When Tracy first took in Daphne and decided to foster her, she could not believe how serious her condition was. She was just terrified of everything.
It affected her so much that she would just freeze in place and not move. It almost looked like her situation was hopeless, but Tracy wanted to help.
Tracy had to carry her into the car where she tried her best to look as small as possible. After taking her to her home in Florida, not much has changed.
Even though she was now in a completely different environment, it didn’t matter. Tracy tried to get her to walk, but she just refused.
What could have possibly happened to this beautiful pup that she ended up this scared of everything? She was likely abused, but Tracy didn’t have the full story.
For the first few days, Tracy let Daphne get comfortable in her own space. She didn’t push her to do anything, so this pup spent most of the time sleeping.
Who knows when the last time she got a good night’s sleep was? It’s possible that this was her first time enjoying a good nap in a comfortable home.
She Is Now A Confident Pup
She slowly started introducing her to the other dogs in the house, and this was a really important change of pace. Daphne was completely different after this.
Being in the presence of other dogs made her feel safer and more comfortable. She finally regained some confidence and even started playing with her new friends.
Soon enough, she would start trusting Tracy as well. She was slowly relaxing in her presence. It’s like her whole world shifted in such a short amount of time.
I guess she just realized how happy she was with these people, and that was all that mattered. She would even hug her foster parents whenever she got the chance.
It was likely her way of saying thank you for everything they did for her. She has truly made a miraculous transformation.
However, just as things were going so well, Tracy had one more bit of good news for Daphne. She was going to her forever home in Florida.
That’s right. The rescuers have found her a new family, and she is about to embark on a new and exciting journey with her new family. I am so happy to see how everything turned out so well for her.
