Emilee Hassanzadeh, from New York City, embodies this philosophy and her recent “brilliant” idea absolutely took the internet by storm!
She and her beloved companion, a dog named Wendell, were on their trip to Minnesota when Emilee realized she had forgotten something really important – a leash!
But, that’s when her creativity kicked in. The owner’s unconventional idea “solved the problem” for a moment and resulted in a viral video that left thousands of people in stitches.

Is That What I Think It Is?
Emilee was on her way to visit a family in Minnesota. However, she decided to make one brief stop and see her sister. After the two met in her sister’s home, their next stop was Starbucks – and a delicious pup cup for Wendell!
However, there was just one slight problem: Emilee realized she had forgotten her dog’s leash. Although her sister suggested that she leave Wendell at home for a couple of hours, Emilee decided to be creative.
Since the two didn’t have anything that could serve as a temporary replacement for a leash, they almost gave up. But then, Emilee saw it – an extension cord with her sister’s phone and laptop plugged in.
She thought, “Why not?” and the idea that seemed so unconventional at one moment became reality in another.
The two arrived at Starbucks, with Wendell lying comfortably in his harness – “leashed” by the hilarious extension cord.
Emilee found this “ordeal” so amusing that she even decided to record the video and post it on TikTok. Little did she know that it would explode in popularity within just a few days!
“Walking my dog to Starbucks on an extension cord because my sister didn’t have a leash at her house,” says the video description.
Soon enough, the comments began pouring in from users all around the world, sharing their personal experiences with their beloved pets.
“I’ve used an iPhone charger for my mini dachshund,” one commenter wrote.
“I had to use a tube sock and walk really low to the one side,” another added.
A third added their hilarious comment: “One time I couldn’t find the leash cause my bf lost it somehow. so I used a sewing measuring tape lol!”
A Fashionable Companion
Aside from “becoming urgently creative” when needed, Emilee and Wendell share a wonderful life filled with many exciting adventures.
Living in New York City, Wendell experiences what it’s like to be a fashion model firsthand. His mom always makes sure to dress him in adorable outfits whenever they go for a walk or a delicious pup cup.
Needless to say, Wendell’s appearance always leaves people in awe!
And, when they’re not being fully fashionable, the two share a cozy life filled with cuddles, naps, and comfy indoor activities. A full package, I’d say!
