Do you remember the Puli dog that we mentioned earlier? There is one thing that these two dogs have in common. It is their interesting and unique coat type, which is quite similar, but also a bit different.
While the hair of the Puli looks more like dreadlocks, the Komondor’s hair is like long, white cords. They are sometimes called “mop dogs” as well because of their unique coat type.

27. Kuvasz

Let’s stay a little bit more in Hungary and meet another one of the Hungarian working dogs, known also as royal guard dogs. Kuvaszs (pronounced Koo- vazz) are very large and very majestic-looking dogs.
They have a thick double coat that has solid white hair (important fact — extremely fluffy!), which sheds a lot, so regular brushing is kind of necessary.
But, there is also one more quite interesting and fun fact regarding these dogs’ coats. A Kuvasz’s hair is odor-free, and it is supposed to repel water and dirt, which is great seeing that they are pure white. This helps them stay just like that.
28. Akbash Dog

If we travel to the Middle East, more precisely, Turkey, we can meet one more white dog breed the — Akbash, which, in Turkish, means “white head”. They are considered to be ancient dogs, even though there is not much known about their origin.
These are massive and powerful dogs that were bred to be guard dogs, so they are very alert and loyal pups whose sole purpose is to make sure that everyone is safe and sound. But, if you ask me, I think that their best feature is their extremely fluffy coat, which is impossible to resist.
Unfortunately, Akbash dogs are very rare to find, even in Turkey. They are not recognized by the American Kennel Club, but they are by the United Kennel Club.
29. Siberian Husky
If you asked me how to best describe the Siberian Husky, I would say — extremely vocal, a bit mischievous and stubborn, and fluffy. They have a dense, thick coat, with colors that can range from black and white, gray or silver, to pure white.

Salukis have a very exotic appearance: slim, but yet muscular dogs that have long legs, a kind of triangle-shaped head, and a short and silky coat, but with feathering around the tail, ears, and the back of the thighs.
These aloof sighthounds are usually highly devoted to their family – so much that they often suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for longer periods. This, in combination with a very shy personality, demands proper early socialization.
48. Labrador Retriever
Next to the Golden Retriever, Labrador Retrievers are definitely one of the most popular dogs among family pets. White Labradors are usually considered to be under the category of yellow Labs, which just have a really pale coat color.
They have the same features as normal Labs, such as temperament or other physical characteristics. Just like other colored Labs, the white ones shed a lot because of their double coat, especially in spring and fall.

Meet the Chow Chow. And… not just any, but a white Chow Chow. These pups are best known for their extremely dense, double coat. Just look at that picture. Don’t they seem like the fluffiest cloud that you just can’t wait to cuddle?
Unfortunately, pure white Chows are very rare and hard to find. This is because they carry a certain gene that is responsible for a lack of melanin production, which is then connected to certain health issues.

50. Finnish Lapphund

A long, fluffy coat is just one of the great characteristics of this breed that comes from Lapland, Finland. Even though they can come in a variety of colors, we can all agree that there is something special about white.
These pups were originally used to herd reindeer, so as you can imagine, their herding instincts make them very active dogs that require lots of exercise. But, other than that, Lappies are affectionate dogs that love humans, and are also really good with children.
If you don’t mind a lot of hair around, especially during shedding season, you should definitely check out this pup.
51. Boxer

Regarding personality, they should be a good choice for a family dog since they get along well with children, and overall, have a pretty good temperament. Their best qualities are friendliness, playfulness, and protectiveness.
However, due to their independence and a bit of a stubborn nature, they can prove to be a little bit difficult to train. Patience is the key, though!

However, when it comes to white-colored Border Collies, you must know that they are extremely rare. Most Collies are black with white markings or red with white markings, but they can also be tricolor.
A solid white Border Collie means that these pups suffer from a condition called Albinism, and will, unfortunately, likely have a lot of health problems.
To Sum It Up
Although color is not and should not be the most important factor when choosing a new puppy, we can’t help ourselves but think that there is something really magical about these white dog breeds.
Maybe it has something to do with the connotations that this color usually has, such as innocence, purity, and sweetness as to why we immediately connect to these dogs.
No matter what the reason actually is, the truth is that they are incredibly beautiful looking with usually very great characteristics that everyone could wish for.
