If you ever find yourself looking for a good thrifter, then look no further because I have the perfect one – Juliet Motyka.
She is interesting, funny, and has been all over the country in search of the perfect thrift find to share with her followers.
However, she pretty much outdid herself when she stepped inside a Gifted Goods II in Horseheads, New York, and saw the most adorable thing that was, unfortunately for her, not for sale.
The second she stepped through the door, she was greeted by Brutus, the store’s resident dog.
The Best Employe

Having worked at the store for years, Brutus pretty much figured out how to bring in customers.
“When I walked into the thrift store, Brutus came and said hello right away. He was this cute little ball of energy … and then I took a few steps inside of the building, and then I, all of a sudden, had a ball by my feet,” Motyka told The Dodo.

Being a proud dog owner herself, the second the ball hit her feet, she knew what to do. A little kick and Brutus was hooked.
As he was busy retrieving the ball, Motyka started walking down the isles looking for the perfect piece before she realized that she wasn’t alone.
“Brutus followed me around the entire time. The only time he stopped was when a younger couple of girls came in and started playing with him, so somebody else took my job,” Motyka said.
We Aren’t Done Playing
It was clear to Motyka that she now had a loyal shopping friend who refused to leave her side. Whichever aisle she decided to take next, Brutus was there by her, silently rolling the ball in her direction.
Of course, she couldn’t leave him standing, so she made sure to kick back the ball, making sure not to damage any property in the meantime.
“Every time I kicked it, he was ready — that’s what he expected. It’s like it’s what I was supposed to do,” Motyka said.

As the time approached for Motyka to finally leave the store, Brutus was extremely sad to say goodbye. Not to worry, though – the second somebody else stepped into the store, he made sure to put on his best face and roll the ball to them.
This New York thrift store truly remains a beloved store among the locals. This isn’t just because of their incredible deals or even their contribution to the aneurysm community, but also for the incredible Brutus and his adorable habit.
I mean, just imagine having an adorable pup running with you around the store – best thing ever!
