Unfortunately, cold-hearted dog owners don’t value their dogs’ love, and they cruelly dump them like they were never part of their family.
Shadow’s heart shattered when her owner renounced her and left her in the streets because she was sick and injured.
Devastated, the tearful dog wondered why her family abandoned her when she needed them the most.
The Light At The End Of The Tunnel
Due to an injury to her hind leg, Shadow limped as she crossed the road.
Without any strength left in her body, she curled up under a nearby tree, trying to make herself as small as possible.
Fortunately, a Good Samaritan noticed her and called some rescuers, who headed to the location right away.
Once they arrived and saw Shadow lying helplessly under the tree, their hearts sank.
The dog couldn’t hide the sadness and helplessness she felt.
The team was worried when they saw the terrible condition she was in. Apart from being severely malnourished, Shadow’s skin was wrinkled and sore.
The rescuers rushed her to a clinic, hoping that they found her in time.
On the way to the vet, Shadow was whimpering. Her heroes comforted her and promised her that she would soon receive help.
Upon arrival at the clinic, the vet examined the dog.
After running the necessary tests, they diagnosed her with mange and anaplasmosis, a tick-borne bacterial disease.
The Doggo Asks Her Rescuers Not To Leave Her
Shadow looked at the vet team and her rescuers with sad eyes. She was pleading with them not to give up on her like her owners did.
The good people reassured her that they would help her recover and start a new life.
The dog remained calm as the vet gently shaved her fur.
They started giving Shadow medicated baths in order to soothe her irritated skin and reduce itching. She was also prescribed oral medication and antibiotics to treat her anaplasmosis.
During her stay at the clinic, the vet staff was extremely dedicated to her care. They encouraged her, cuddled her, and made her feel worthy of love.
Receiving The Love She Never Had
The doggo’s eyes shone with hope. She was moved by their kindness and affection.
Gradually, Shadow began getting better and regaining her strength.
Her rescuers placed her in a wonderful foster home, where she continued her treatment.
Her foster mom cared for Shadow and gave her all the affection she needed.
The dog loved sleeping next to her foster, who would always kiss her on the forehead. She felt cherished and grateful for her love.
As time passed, the canine started looking healthier. Her skin healed and new fur began growing.
By the end of her treatment, Shadow fully recovered and made an astonishing transformation. She turned into a real beauty.
