Explorers are people who are always seeking to experience something new and unusual, which is what makes this activity so fulfilling for them.
This sense of adventure was the main reason why a group of young people from Chicago, Illinois, began exploring abandoned locations around the country and sharing the history of these sites on social media under the nickname LordExplores.
One day, they were especially excited to explore the interior of an abandoned hospital in the Chicago area.
However, shortly after entering, they heard barking and witnessed something shocking, prompting them to leave the building.
“Get The Hell Out”
Soon after these urban explorers entered an abandoned hospital, they heard some strange noises. As they approached the source of that noise, they started realizing that it was barking.
That same barking soon brought them to the entrance of the room where they saw dogs crawling on their hind legs and barking loudly behind the glass. These furry creatures seemed so agitated as if they had seen a monster.
The explorers were still quite calm as they thought that the dogs were abandoned there. However, when they saw supplies inside the room and a chair that was pushed up against the door, they realized that someone was living there.
In an Instagram video posted by @lordexplores on November 2, 2024, one of them can be heard saying “Get the hell out,” after which they both open the door from the hall with a quick step and head for the exit.
This video attracted a lot of attention and many Instagram users were confused by this specific situation.
“Could it be kidnapped dogs kept in there?” one user asked, while another one wrote: “Obviously it’s not abandoned.”
The third demanded: “What is the update with the dogs!!!!!”
Mysterious Update
It did not take long for @lordexplores to post an update video on Instagram and explain some things that were bothering people in the comment section.
Although he was frightened at first, he later realized that these dogs weren’t in any danger and that they were healthy and well-fed.
However, he also shared something quite mysterious. When he later reviewed the video, he noticed that one dog kept looking away while barking, a clear sign that someone was in the room with these dogs.
Although Instagram users became very curious after these statements, there is little chance that we will solve this mystery in the near future.
Namely, when the explorer went back to this abandoned Chicago hospital a few days later to give the dogs some food and water, the room was empty.
Unfortunately, we can only guess what actually happened here.
