Heartbreak As Texas Family Surrenders Shelter Puppy 24 Hours Later Because She Was ‘Crying Too Much’

Heartbreak As Texas Family Surrenders Shelter Puppy 24 Hours Later Because She Was ‘Crying Too Much’

Boo was a fragile newborn baby who lived with her mom and littermates on the streets.

When Animal Control found them, they collected the mom and puppies and brought them to a shelter.

When the furballs got reunited with their mom in a kennel, unfortunately, she didn’t accept them, and even attacked them.

Boo and his siblings missed their mom’s love and warmth. They were too young to realize that she rejected them.

Since they needed around-the-clock care, the shelter reached out to Compassionate Canine Society, a home-based rescue based in El Paso, Texas, and asked for help.

Boo Moves Into A Foster Home

The rescue took three puppies of the litter under their care.

The staff kept them warm and bottle-fed them every two hours.

During the first week in their foster home, everything seemed to be going well, but then Boo got sick. The rescue staff rushed her to the vet where she was diagnosed with pneumonia and was prescribed antibiotics.

A couple of days later, Boo’s littermates, Sulley and Mike, caught it, too.

The vet didn’t believe they would pull through.

The rescue staff cared for the puppies, showering them with affection. The furbabies absorbed their love and started fighting for their recovery.

With every passing day, the pups thrived more, and their personalities started emerging.

Boo seemed to be a lone wolf. She enjoyed finding new spots at the rescue where she could hide and enjoy some alone time.

Later on, the puppies started searching for a forever home.

Shortly afterward, Boo caught the attention of a woman who took her home under the Compassionate Canine Society’s “Foster to Adopt” program.

It was agreed that the puppy would spend two weeks with his new mom as a foster dog, and if everything went well, she was supposed to be officially adopted.

The rescue staff was overjoyed for Boo and thought that she had found her happiness.

Another Heartbreak

They were both heartbroken when the woman called them the next day and told them that she wanted to surrender Boo because she cried too much.

The staff reassured the woman that she could return Boo if she wanted.

The puppy’s caregivers felt bad for Boo. They knew that she missed her siblings and that she just needed time to adjust to her new home.

In the evening, the woman returned Boo to the Texas rescue. When the staff saw the puppy, they were shocked to see that she had a bump on her head.

The staff was worried about Boo’s injury, but thankfully, she was alright and her bump had reduced.

Although she was returned to the rescue, the puppy didn’t give in to sadness. She started playing at the rescue as if nothing had happened.

Fortunately, Boo had a lot of adoption interest and she already moved to another foster-to-adopt home.

I hope that this time, everything will work out well and that Boo will finally get the happy ending she has dreamed of.

She had a rough start in life, and she deserves to live a carefree and blissful life.
