Whenever I step inside a shelter, I immediately get washed over with a wave of both sadness and happiness.
Every animal inside has one wish on their mind: to finally be adopted into a fun and loving home.
And, as much as the shelter staff try their best to provide them with the best time ever, it can never fill that void in their heart. But nevertheless, it’s worth the while and we absolutely love to see it.
So, when a shelter called Humane Society of Broward County, Florida, decided to post a heartwarming series on their TikTok profile, it came as no surprise when they became absolutely viral in seconds.
The Time Has Come

The viral, and very emotional, video begins with a staff member approaching a kennel with a little sticker that has the best possible sentence on it: I’m adopted!!
As the camera lowered down on the pup, Mama Pinky, her tail wag was so extensive that her whole body shook.
However, before she was able to meet with her new family, she first had to dress up for the occasion!
I Need To Pack
The second video is dedicated to sweet girl Raven. A couple of months ago, when she was just a puppy, Raven was taken in by a family but returned shortly because she was a happy and active pup.
But, not to worry – now, she is going to a family who will love and cherish her just the way she is.
“Our spunky girl was so excited to leave that she couldn’t decide which toy to take with her!” the caption wrote.
Love Is All We Need
Pups aren’t the only ones who get to experience the joy of being adopted.
Since the shelter has love for every breed and species, it’s no surprise that they rescue cats as well.
Rio the cat has spent 100 days inside his kennel, every day hoping it would be his last. Well, finally, the day has come!
His beauty and incredible personality were finally recognized by a loving family who was ready to provide him with the best possible life.
He is now able to live his best life with yummy food, a warm home, and tons of hugs and kisses.
There Is Somebody For Everybody
As much as the staff is happy to see these furry friends go, their hearts ache for all of those that are left behind.
They try their best to showcase every animal, letting everybody know their best traits, but sometimes, you just have to go and spend time with them yourself.
With that being said, if you ever find yourself in the Florida area, make sure to give them a visit. Who knows? Maybe you will walk out with a new, furry best friend.
