This Sweet Shelter Dog Was Heartbroken To See His Friend Get Adopted Into A Loving Home

Life in a shelter can be rough for any dog. While they usually receive great care from the people who rescue them, there are other factors that contribute to this feeling of uneasiness in dogs.

Shelters can be very loud and they are often confined in small spaces where they can’t run around often or even socialize with other dogs.

It’s a dream for pretty much any of them to find a beautiful home where they can live comfortably with their new favorite person.

Sunny’s story was not much different. His friend was actually adopted and he looked a little sad knowing that he still had no one, but that would soon change when he met two amazing people.

He Finally Relaxes With His Owners

When Shannon and Shelly first heard about Sunny’s story, they felt really bad for him, so they decided to do something about it.

They went to visit him at the shelter in California and they both immediately fell in love with him. He just looked so adorable. They knew at that moment that they had to adopt him.

When he was finally in his new home, it took a while for him to adapt. He didn’t know what to make of his new owners.

Shelly told GeoBeats Animals: “At first he was all timid and shy, but once he realized, like, we were safe and we were there to take care of him, he immediately, like, fell in love with us and we had already fallen in love with him.”

After a while, Shannon and Shelly realized that Sunny was not a very social pup. He liked his owners, but he did not know how to behave around other dogs.

He would often hide or bark at other dogs, as he was still figuring out how to greet them, but he’s a learner, and that is important.

Sunny Is Still Learning A Lot

His new owners were shocked by how hyperactive he was. He would wake up in the morning and start running laps around the house until he found his favorite people.

Shelly said: “He goes through, like a range of emotions. Like, even though he seems always happy, he’ll do this grumpy attitude when he doesn’t get his way.

Even though he loves his owners and knows how to behave around them, he is still learning how to be around other people.

They are always cautious when he meets someone new, even if it’s a dog. Shannon and Shelly try to communicate to other people that he is still learning how to behave around other people.

His new owners took him to a puppy school in California, where he would learn a lot of things. Shannon and Shelly always try to make sure he gets enough time to socialize with other dogs.

When he wants them to wake up with him, he will usually run into their room and give them lots of kisses, and it’s just adorable.

They are so happy to have him in their life. They said: “He is an angel sent from heaven that came into the world to make everyone smile. He just looks at you and smiles. He’s always happy for the most part.

Sunny’s heartwarming story reminds us how it’s important to give shelter dogs an opportunity. All they want is a chance to belong and be with someone who treats them properly. I am so glad his story has a happy ending.
