Uncertainty is a horrible thing for dogs. In one moment, you are enjoying a comfortable life with your owner, and in the next, you are on the street completely alone.
Some neglectful owners tend to just dump their animals in an isolated area, while other people tend to leave them in the shelter.
At no point does the dog understand why any of this happened. In their mind, their owner could have just left to pick up some groceries.
Many dogs keep hoping that their owners would return for them, but that’s not usually what happens.
For these two senior dogs, the situation was quite complex. Their owner passed away and they ended up in the shelter, not knowing what had just happened to them.
They Lost Their Home

Hollywood and Jackson had spent many years with their owner in their amazing home. It was a fulfilling life for both of them, but tragedy struck and these two pups found themselves in a situation they never expected.
The rescuers from Humane Society Naples, in Florida, did their best to help accommodate them after their terrible loss.
These two pups never even imagined that they would have to live in a small kennel. Their lives had been great. They just didn’t understand why it happened.

They are feeling lonelier every day because of their situation. At the very least, they still have each other in these moments.
To make their story even more tragic, Hollywood and Jackson had already experienced this loss once before. Their first owner passed away.
And, then this happened. Because the owner didn’t have any estate succession plan, these pups no longer had a certain future.
They Need To Stick Together

They are stuck at a shelter until the rescuers are able to find someone for them. It’s fortunate that these two dogs have each other.
Despite their loss, the rescuers are keeping them together and they are hopeful that they will be adopted together. That might be mission impossible, but it would be cruel to separate them after all this time.
They have created so many amazing memories together and have already grown old together. So, staying together would be the best option for them.
Unfortunately, as age takes over, these pups no longer have the same strength and energy to play around. Even though their legs don’t work as well as they used to, they are still very cheerful.

They still love taking any opportunity they can to play together or with other people. Their health isn’t as good as it once was, but they are doing somewhat okay.
Hollywood is battling cancer, but the rescuers are hoping that he will recover from it soon.
Despite the many issues they are facing right now, I remain hopeful that they will find a better future for themselves. They deserve a chance to live their senior years in peace.
