Every time I read about dog rescue stories, a thought keeps coming back to my mind. And, that is: how could someone be so cruel as to abandon a newborn puppy on the street?
This just baffles me. I can’t understand how someone can be so cruel, but this is not an uncommon case. In fact, it happens almost too often.
While animal rescuers are doing their best to resolve these issues, there are just too many stray dogs and it’s really a rough situation.
This puppy was abandoned by his owner and was so scared of everyone that he couldn’t stop shaking. However, all of that would soon change.
All It Took Was One Kind Person
When a kind woman noticed this puppy just lying in the grass, she couldn’t believe her eyes. She was also dumbfounded as to how someone could do this.
She carefully approached the puppy. As she got closer, the woman realized that the puppy was shaking the whole time. He was just too scared.
At first, she tried moving him a little bit and he didn’t react. She assumed that he might have been injured, but there was no way to be sure until he went to a clinic.
So, she tried picking him up and the puppy immediately started crying. The fear was just that strong. Nevertheless, this was the moment where this woman decided to do something.
She took the puppy to her house where she and her daughter took care of it. They helped him get warm by wrapping him in a towel, and for the first time, he actually looked relaxed.
When the puppy was finally calm, he just fell asleep. He enjoyed a brief nap, but it was time to feed him. The woman gave him food through a syringe because he was still too small.
Every time she looked at him, she noticed sadness in his eyes. He was devastated to be separated from his mom, and that’s just heartbreaking.
Tom Is A Friendly Puppy
After that, the puppy, now named Tom, fell asleep again. He finally got a chance to just rest without the constant fear and worry of what would happen next.
The woman who rescued him was a lifesaver and will continue caring for him. After about three days, she noticed that Tom was still a bit shy and didn’t play around much.
He was unused to being in a house with other people, so it was normal that it would take him some time to adjust.
But time passed and the change was starting to become noticeable. Tom’s usual shy attitude was slowly going away, and he was becoming more friendly and cheerful.
He enjoyed playing around with his rescuer’s daughter and they would go on small adventures together. It was really wholesome.
Even though Tom went through a lot of hardships in his life, his new rescuer will make sure that he finds the perfect family who will give him the life that he deserves.
