Two Scared Dog Sisters Living At A Construction Site Learn What Love Is For The First Time

Niall Harbison has definitely seen it all. Over the years of rescuing stray dogs in need, he has witnessed many heartbreaking scenes during his missions. Yet, he has never thought of giving up – or slowing down, for that matter.

Despite all the hardships, he managed to provide many of these four-legged furballs with a new chance. Now, it was time to do the same for a pack of seven dogs trapped at a construction site.

Lina, Sophie Socks, and their five siblings were only moments away from the inevitable when the workers threatened to “forcibly remove them” in order to proceed with their work. But, Harbison did not let that happen.

It Took Them Months To Start Trusting

The dogs’ situation was quite complicated. The site was the only place they knew and they weren’t gonna move on their own. However, when Harbison and his kind-hearted team of rescuers found out that construction was about to start, they immediately rushed into action.

“We were told they had to move ‘or they’d be poisoned’. They’d also had rocks and sticks thrown at them,” their rescuers wrote in the video.

The rescue, however, was far from easy.

The first five dogs were easy to catch and secure, but Lina and Sophie Socks, the two fearful sisters, refused any help. On top of that, both suffered from parvovirus and were only minutes away from losing their life battle.

“They came within 30 minutes of losing the battle. Both sisters had to stay in the vets for two weeks in isolation on drips,” they added.

Fortunately, the team began their treatment timely. Both Lina and Sophie were treated around the clock, fed with quality food, and cared for by their volunteers.

Within just a month, they were out of danger, and now the only thing left for them was to start trusting again. Given Lina and Sophie’s previous life, that was the hardest part of their journey. But, none of their rescuers wanted to give up!

Brand-New Girls In Brand-New Homes

Kindness, patience, and training – that’s all it took. Harbison and the team took things slowly with both Lina and Sophie, knowing that only love heals a broken heart. And, they were right. After so many attempts to approach these two furry girls with kindness, they finally made it.

“With months of kindness, patience and training they’ve come out their shells and are getting ready to go to their forever homes,” Lina and Sophie’s rescuers wrote.

Lina and Sohpie successfully transformed into brand-new dogs ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives.

Both dogs found beautiful forever homes with families inclined to show them what true love looks like. Lina is now enjoying endless cuddle sessions with her parents, her comfy doggo bed, and exciting outings.

Sophie, on the other hand, is head over heels in love with sunrise walks and her hoomans.

“She loves sunrise walks, naps, snacks, and spending time with her humans. Truly learning to live life to the fullest. And she has the best parents to help her do it,” Sophie’s caregivers stated.

It’s truly rewarding seeing these two blossom into happy dogs! They can’t imagine life without their families now.

Once fearful doggo sisters fighting to survive another day, Lina and Sophie couldn’t be happier today, all thanks to the kind work of Niall and his team!
