When puppies end up on the street, it’s kind of hard to tell what their story is. It’s usually safe to assume that they were just left there by a neglectful owner.
However, that is not always the case. There are people who are in a horrible situation themselves, so they at least try to surrender their pups to the shelter or leave them next to it.
It’s important to never jump to conclusions. That being said, what happened in this story was actually pretty straightforward.
A group of rescuers from California were notified about an unusual noise next to a freeway, so Suzette Hall responded to the call.
What Is Under The Blanket?

After receiving the call, Suzette Hall was heartbroken to hear that the person who identified the noise found ten small puppies abandoned in a kennel under a blanket.
This was absolutely heartbreaking. They didn’t have any food or water with them, so they wouldn’t have lasted long on their own.
The kennel was really too cramped, considering there were ten of them, and it smelled really bad. It’s safe to assume that they were there for a while.

Hall noted how she had already rescued pups from the same spot before, as it was obviously a place known for abandoned dogs. Most people on the road didn’t even bother to look.
How could someone do this to them? It’s just mind-boggling that someone can cruelly leave ten puppies to starve in the middle of nowhere.
If it was not for the Good Samaritan who noticed the barking, it’s hard to tell what would have actually happened.
It Looks Like Everything Will Be Okay

Hall was on the spot in no time, and she lifted the blanket only to see ten furry babies looking at her with hope in their eyes. They looked happy to finally see someone.
The kind rescuer didn’t waste any time. She just took the kennel and carried the puppies back to her vehicle. Shortly after, they were all taken to a veterinarian clinic.
Now that they were at the shelter in California, Hall decided to schedule a vet visit for all of them. None of them looked like they had any serious problems, so there was no rush.

The vet examined all of them and found that some had mange and heart murmurs. All of these problems had remedies, so it looked like the puppies would be okay.
They will still need some help in finding homes, but I have no doubt that everything will turn out great for them. They are still puppies, so finding a family for them won’t be difficult.
Hall is hopeful that they will all have a bright future ahead of them, and I believe that as well. They deserve to start over with a human who truly cares about them.
