When a passerby saw a random box just lying in the dirt, they didn’t think much of it until they heard some faint cries coming from it.
They went to check it out and were surprised to see two very small puppies inside it. They looked really scared and it sounded like they were looking for their mom.
But, because they were so young, they were too scared to leave the safety of their little box. The passerby called for rescuers and they hurriedly rushed to help.
Two Very Gentle Puppies
The rescuers were in disbelief over what they saw because they couldn’t understand how someone could just leave two puppies on their own like that.
They were likely separated from their mother and just abandoned without her, and this was just heartbreaking. The rescuers noticed that the puppies were shivering.
The pups were also really scared because they had no idea who these people were and what they wanted. But, the rescuers were very committed to giving them a new chance.
After examining them for a bit, the rescuers determined that they needed emergency help and took them to a clinic.
They underwent a thorough exam and the veterinarians were shocked by how much these puppies endured in such a short time in this world.
One of the puppies had an inflamed eye, they both had a stomach full of worms and a high fever, and they also had many ticks on their skin.
The veterinarians couldn’t understand how they ended up in this situation because they were so small. Nevertheless, all they could do now was try to help them.
For the next two days, they were actively treated for pretty much every medical problem they had.
However, the puppy who had an inflamed eye was getting weaker. It looked like therapy wasn’t working for him.
Juliet’s Recovery
After trying to treat the sick puppy, it seemed like nothing was helping. The veterinarians did their best, but it just wasn’t meant to be. This sweet puppy crossed the rainbow bridge on the 4th day.
The veterinarians were devastated and were doing everything they could to help her sister, Juliet, recover.
Juliet was struggling without her sister. She kept looking for her, but she was nowhere to be found. To help her deal with the grief, they brought another pup who was saved to keep her company.
At first, she didn’t care much about her, but time would change that. The rescuers also brought her some toys, and they kept her well-fed at all times.
Soon enough, her white blood cell count went back to normal and Juliet was making a good recovery. Her scabies were still a problem, but the veterinarians were working on that.
Her skin improved after a few more weeks and the puppy was now gaining weight at a steady pace. This was a great improvement.
Now that she was almost completely healthy, the veterinarians discharged her from the hospital and one of her rescuers took Juliet to her home.
While we don’t know if her rescuer has chosen to adopt her, one thing we do know is that she is very safe and happy with her rescuer and that is all that matters. I am confident that Juliet is living her best life.
