After realizing that she was chained to the wall, the rescuers felt devastated and they knew they had to take action.
They pulled over and talked to the neighbors who told them that Twiggy’s owners moved out and left her behind.
The good humans unchained the pup and took her in their arms, promising to help her.
They were shocked when they saw how malnourished she was. She was only skin and bones.
Twiggy licked her rescuers’ faces, wishing to thank them for saving her life.
Raynor brought her home and gave her a bath.

Elizabeth realized that she couldn’t bear the thought of letting her go so she adopted her.
