Rescuers Were Shocked To Find This Pup Freezing In A Parking Lot, So They Came To His Rescue

We all know that every dog wants to feel accepted and loved by their human and that’s why it’s important to always cherish the bond we share with our furry companions.

That’s why it’s always heartbreaking for me to see how some pups are treated despite the fact that they are very sweet and cheerful.

They will punish their pups for stepping out of line even once and that leads to even more abuse, which eventually ends with that dog being dumped on the street.

It’s incredibly cruel to treat animals this way, and yet it happens too often. The pup we will be talking about is just one such case.

Meet Sunny D

After being notified about a dog who was freezing in a parking lot, the rescuers from Stray Rescue of St. Louis, in Missouri, rushed to his aid.

It didn’t take them a long time to find him. The pup was sitting out in the sun to try and get warm. The wind was making it difficult for him. It was too cold, even for him.

The rescuers approached him slowly, so he wouldn’t get scared and they quickly realized that he was a very friendly dog.

He was a bit skittish at first because he didn’t understand what these people wanted, but he quickly realized that they were there to help.

One of the rescuers got closer and closer to him. She realized that he was not aggressive, so she took her leash with her.

Once she was certain that the pup was not aggressive, she took the leash and placed it around his neck. The pup, now named Sunny D, was safe.

His rescuers tried to take him back to their car, but the dog wasn’t so certain. He was a bit afraid of going far from the parking lot, yet nobody had any idea why he felt this way.

Hope For A Better Future

Either way, he eventually followed his rescuers to their vehicle and he was now safe inside. They transported him to their shelter in Missouri in no time.

When they were there, they examined the pup a bit more closely and the rescuers saw that he had gashes on his side and possible puncture wounds on his legs.

Nobody had any idea what the primary cause of this was. One theory could be that he was in a home before and was abused and neglected by his owners.

When they got tired of him, they just dumped him in the parking lot. That would also explain why he was still so friendly to his rescuers.

While there is no way to confirm that just yet, one thing is certain. Sunny D will receive the best care in the world now that he is with his rescuers.

They will give him treatment and everything that he needs. Their first task will be to find him a forever home with a good family.

While we don’t know if that has happened yet, I am pretty sure that this sweet dog won’t have any problems finding someone special who will love and cherish every moment with him.
