Working as a rescuer can be a tough job, especially when you know that the shelter you’re working for can sometimes be overcrowded with dogs.
This means that you can’t rescue every pup you see on the street, and it can be a bit heartbreaking having to see them on their own every day.
At the very least, rescuers do their best to feed these dogs until some room is available in the shelter, and I honestly think that is amazing.
This pooch went through something similar when he was found by the amazing rescuers of Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
Some Good News For The Dog
Turducken’s life was not easy on the streets, but he never despaired. He always retained a very friendly attitude to everyone, and that’s what made him special.
When the rescuers from Stray Rescue of St. Louis first found him, they were surprised by his friendliness.
A rescuer named Donna wanted to help him, but she knew that there was no more room in their shelter, and Turducken would just have to wait for his chance.
In the meantime, she decided to feed him whenever she could, so he would never be hungry again. They would always see each other and Donna loved this pup.
Whenever she came to give him some food, he would greet her warmly and they bonded in no time. She couldn’t wait to take him to the shelter where he would have a new chance.
When the time finally came, Donna couldn’t wait to see Turducken. She hurried to the spot where he was usually staying.
He Was Finally Taken To The Shelter
As usual, he was happy to see Donna, but this time was different. She realized that this puppy would fit in well with everyone at the shelter.
She recorded the entire event and posted it on their social media. This was great news because it would help increase his chances of getting a new home.
He was just such a good boy. When they spent some time bonding outside, she took him to the shelter, and he now finally had a roof over his head and a warm spot to sleep in.
Everyone hopes that it won’t take long for Turducken to find a new home, given his kind and gentle nature, and I would agree with them.
First, his rescuer will try to find a foster home for him, so he can get accustomed to living in a warm home and then they will continue their search for his forever home.
While we don’t know what happens next in Turducken’s story, I am confident that a puppy this sweet and gentle will find his new family in no time. He deserves all the best.
