It’s no surprise that most stray dogs are terrified of humans, as some cruel people tend to severely neglect or abuse dogs to the point that they are completely traumatized.
I mean, think for a minute how horrible it is that someone who is supposed to help and take care of you is now abusing you for seemingly no reason.
Something similar happened to this dog who was found by a woman lying under some kind of a table. She saw his wounds and was horrified, so she immediately called for help.
She Had Serious Problems
When a rescuer came to help the pup, the reaction to his injuries was no different. Everyone was shocked to see large open wounds on this dog’s front legs.
It also looked like he had many other problems, but these were the ones most visible. For that alone, he needed to be rushed to a veterinarian clinic.
The rescuer immediately took the pup to see the veterinarians, and the examination results were shocking, to say the least.
They found that her hip was severely broken and that she had internal organ damage. This was a serious situation.
Her broken hip was causing the most problems because it broke off completely. Neither the rescuer nor the veterinarian could understand what caused an injury this severe.
However, the veterinarian understood that he couldn’t perform the surgery she needed to walk again, so he referred them to another clinic for help.
An Important Surgery
She was taken almost immediately, and the other veterinarian started surgery on her right away. It took around four-and-a-half hours, but it was a success.
Her organs were still in serious condition. The pup’s liver suffered most of the damage, but there was a chance that she would heal.
Over the next few days, the scared pup started eating a little bit, and she was gaining some trust in her rescuers and veterinarians.
They understood that her recovery was not going to be easy, so they started the dog’s walking therapy, but they did it slowly and carefully.
The dog, who was depressed, was now finally coming out of her shell and starting to change. She was more interested in her therapy, as she saw the results.
The entire process took three months, but this brave and determined little pup was able to overcome the odds and make an almost full recovery.
A Bright Future Ahead
His rescuer and the veterinarians couldn’t be happier for her. She was a really special dog, and she deserved someone wonderful who would take care of her.
After she was discharged from the hospital, her rescuer took the pup to her own home where she would continue therapy.
Even though she has mostly healed, she still needs a proper diet and a little more activity to make a full recovery. They have been going on walks pretty much every day.
It was in those moments that her rescuer really got to see how much better she was doing. Her walk was completely normal and she enjoyed running around the yard as much as she could.
After some time, her rescuer realized that she didn’t want to give up the dog, so she adopted the pup, now named Nyusha, and gave her a new home.
This was absolutely wonderful news for the pup who desperately needed a home. While we don’t know what happened in her past, she suffered serious trauma and has made an incredible recovery. She deserved this new chance.
