While scrolling through his social media, a rescuer came across a post from a truck driver regarding a small puppy who was hanging out in a place where little puppies shouldn’t be.
After an hour-long drive, the rescuer finally arrived at the location and began looking for the doggo. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to locate him.
As he continued his search, the rescuer got into a scary car accident. Luckily, no harm came to him. But, regardless of this scary event, the hooman was so determined to find this little guy that he carried on with his mission.
No Pup Left Behind
After receiving another car from his insurance, the hooman continued his search the very next day.
Today, lady luck was on his side and he managed to find the puppy quite fast. The rescuer couldn’t contain his excitement when he found his furry friend. Unfortunately, the pup didn’t feel the same.
The puppy was quite shy and timid and kept his head low trying to avoid eye contact. It was quite clear that he didn’t really trust his rescuer, making him believe that he had a bad encounter with hoomans in the past.
But, the rescuer refused to give up.
Hoping to try and win over his trust through his tummy, the rescuer brought him some yummy food and fresh water! Sadly, this tactic didn’t really work. The pup refused to eat.
The rescuer feared that the reason behind his behavior might lie in the fact that he wasn’t feeling too well, so he carefully placed him in his car and rushed him over to the vet.
Slow And Steady Wins The Race
There were a couple of clinics close by but none of them were open at the time.
And, since the rescuer didn’t want to make the pup feel even worse, he made sure to make a little pit stop in order to spend some quality time with him.
Luckily, this allowed the pup to lower his guard and even begin to play.
After the fun time was over, the duo got in their car and hit the road again. After searching for a bit, they finally found a clinic that was open.
A medical evaluation showed that the pup was suffering from food poisoning, confirming the rescuer’s suspicions.
The hooman picked up the medications this sweet boy needed and decided to take him in as a foster until he felt better.
When they got home, the rescuer allowed the pup to get used to his surroundings before giving him a much-needed bath as well as a little spa day.
I am sure that with time, this sweet puppy will make the fastest recovery ever and will be able to live his best, happy life!
