Rescue Dog From California Got A New Chance To Live Her Life When Something Tragic Suddenly Happened

As humans, we have grown accustomed to the fact that life can just be really hard sometimes and the only choice we have is to deal with it in some way.

However, for our furry friends, this is much harder. A lot of stray dogs tend to struggle a lot because of the cruelty of careless people.

They try to find shelter and food for survival, but it’s just not easy no matter how much they try. Sometimes, even when things are looking up, something bad can still happen to change that.

Daisy Duke is a prime example of this. Her story is a sad one. Just when things were looking up for her, something happened that changed her whole life.

Terrible News For Daisy

After the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center in California first rescued Daisy Duke, they were hopeful about her future and things were going pretty well.

She was a very happy and outgoing dog. She liked being around other people and there was almost no doubt that she would quickly find a forever home.

They thought she was a healthy dog, but when they did an examination, they learned something shocking about her.

Daisy Duke had a third-degree atrioventricular (AV) block. Basically, this meant that her heart’s electrical impulses didn’t properly regulate its rhythm.

This could slow her heart rate significantly to the point where she might not make it. She needed proper medical attention, but the rescuers couldn’t give it to her.

So, they referred her to another vet, named Dr Jung, in California, who told them that her only option was a pacemaker implantation.

This was not cheap. Surgeries like this can go from $3,000 to $6,000, but the rescuers decided to give the money necessary to help. Dr. Jung also gave them a good discount, so that helped.

A Successful Surgery

The veterinarians proceeded with Daisy’s surgery and everything went smoothly. They were able to give this sweet dog a second chance.

Everyone was so proud of the surgeons and the rescuers for doing their best to help Daisy Duke. The situation was not a simple one, but they were able to help her.

Now that she was recovering, the rescuers thought it would be best if they placed her in a foster home where she could relax and rest.

They were able to find someone wonderful. She has made visible progress and is now living her best life.

Thanks to the effort of these amazing people, this sweet pup will one day change someone’s life for the better.

While we don’t have an update on her story, it’s always comforting to know that she is in good hands right now and she will most certainly find a forever home very soon.
