Many people tend to focus only on the positive side of life with dogs and their favorite humans. They imagine happy pups walking beside their owners, wagging their tails, and playing with children.
Unfortunately, we do not live in an ideal world, and many dogs endure heartbreak caused by those they trust the most.
Neglect, abuse, and abandonment of these helpless creatures are so widespread that it can be difficult for true dog lovers to comprehend.
One compassionate man experienced this reality firsthand when, while walking through the forest, he heard loud crying. He then came across an injured dog, already bandaged and left alone.
Poor Little One, Left All Alone
This man found a puppy on the edge of the forest. Although he was totally heartbroken because of the state the poor little one was in, he managed to pull himself together quickly and call for help.
As soon as the big-hearted rescuers got the call about the puppy in need, they rushed to that place. When they saw the bandage on one of his legs, they were totally confused.
However, they rushed him to the vet immediately, and there, they found out this same puppy had already been there before and that they had put him in those bandages.
Obviously his owner did not want to continue taking care of him anymore so she decided to abandon him in the woods, hoping that no one would find him.
These people were shocked, but also angry because of this woman’s act. They could not believe that she was so heartless to do such a thing to this innocent little being.
However, that only motivated them to do everything to make his future bright and find the person who committed such a hideous crime.
Tough Road To Recovery
When they went to the veterinary clinic, the puppy’s leg was hot and swollen and he cried a lot from the pain. This was the consequence of not changing the bandage for an entire week.
Besides the injury, there were signs of infection, and some of his internal organs were affected. The doctors said that he also found bruises.
Despite all the difficulties and immense pain this puppy had to endure, he was still smiling a bit and wagging his tail whenever he saw his caretaker, which gave this good human the strength to continue.
Unfortunately, after a few days, the condition of his injured leg worsened. The vet informed his caretaker that the puppy would need immediate surgery because he found a bone infection. This was all the consequence of untreated wounds during that one-week period in the woods.
It was major surgery and there was a risk that he would not survive. His caretaker prayed for him like a true guardian angel, and after three hours, she received the happiest news.
The surgery was a success and this puppy could go home and start recovering.
New Life And Justice Served!
As soon as this puppy got out of the hospital, he started to recover quickly. He was soon walking and even running. He was so happy because of the new chance he got in life that he could not stop smiling.
Soon, the happiest news came as one family fell in love with him so much that they immediately decided to adopt him. These loving people named him Kompot and gave him all their love.
He adapted to his new home quickly and all the family members adored him. Yet, Kompot established a special bond with their little child and he was destined to enjoy his new life with this little angel.
In the meantime, some more great news came in. The authorities found the woman who abandoned Kompot. Although she refused at first, she eventually admitted everything. She said that the puppy had an accident and that she started taking care of him in the first place.
Yet, when she saw how hard it was, she decided to get rid of him and dump him in the woods, hoping that no one would find him. Luckily, a good soul found him and gave him a new, happier life while she would have to face justice for what she did.
At the end of this emotional story, it was a new life and justice served — the happiest possible ending!
