Owning a dog or a puppy is such a blessing and many people know that from their own experience.
Phill, who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his girlfriend, Lindsey Patterson, taught by the experience of those people, also wished to have a furry friend.
Lindsey procrastinated for a long time, but then one day, she decided to pleasantly surprise her boyfriend. That day, she announced that the new member of their family was a Havanese puppy, Penny.
Phill was over the moon, and this puppy brought joy to Lindsey as well.
Someone Strange On The Phone
Lindsey, who works with influencers, recorded their new puppy the very first day and posted the video of the meeting with her new dad via her TikTok account, @linzpatt.
That video attracted the attention of so many people that she could not believe it. Since TikTokers fell in love with their new dog, Lindsey decided to regularly create content that features Penny.
Almost every video was a success, but the one she posted on September 4, 2024, broke the Internet.
Namely, prompted by the TikTok trend where people leave their kids, friends, and animals in front of a phone camera and ask viewers to keep an eye on them, she decided to do the same with her Penny.

The video begins with Lindsey’s words “Can you guys watch my dog for a second?” after which she disappears and Penny remains alone in front of the phone.
At first, she does not react at all, but then when she sees herself in the camera, the show begins. Convinced that there is another dog on the phone watching her, she starts to bark and growl, almost ready to fight, despite her tiny appearance.
Yet, that’s when Patterson shows up again and utters the final words: “Thanks, that’s all.”
Viral Dog
As already mentioned, almost every Penny video on TikTok attracted a lot of attention. This puppy became popular so much that people recognized her on the streets of Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as in other cities.
However, the video that shows her on the phone for the first time truly launched her into stardom as it brought her an audience of millions. There were numerous reactions and we decided to highlight some of the comments.
“She literally yelled and threw hands at us 🥰,” one user wrote.
“10/10 she’s very sassy but I’d definitely watch again 🥰🤣,” another added.
The third quipped: “Omg so cute. I have Havanese dogs too and they are still adorable as adults.”
According to the American Kennel Club, due to their cuteness and social skills, Havanese dogs are indeed very popular in the USA, especially as city dogs. The AKC ranked them as the 25th most commonly-registered breed.
After this video, we have no doubt that they will advance at least five places on the list.
