Every day, our hearts are broken by new cases of neglected and abandoned dogs who did nothing wrong to experience such a horrible fate.
Unfortunately, the main cause of their suffering is the one that should bring these helpless creatures the most happiness — people.
They neglect, abuse, and abandon their animals, causing unimaginable consequences for their health, both physical and emotional.
Luckily, there are still good souls who are ready at any moment to help the poor furry creatures and put a smile back on their faces.
Sadly, sometimes the situation is so bad that despite everything, a happy ending is almost impossible.
Heartbreaking Situation
One compassionate man was heartbroken when he came upon a sick puppy lying on a street all alone. As he wasn’t able to help the poor creature at that moment, he took its picture and posted it on the Internet.
That day, nobody saw it or paid attention to it, but the very next day, the post went viral and the photo of the poor puppy came upon the radar of a local rescue organization.
As soon as they saw it, these great people rushed to that place to help the puppy. When they came there, they were absolutely shocked by the state this puppy was in. She was coughing nonstop and couldn’t move at all.
That’s why one of the rescuers took her in her arms immediately so that they could rush her to the vet as soon as possible.
When they came to the veterinary clinic, they first trimmed her hair so that the doctors could examine her. Her body temperature was okay, but she kept shivering a lot.
The worst thing was that she couldn’t eat at all and they had to tube-feed her. It took them almost an hour to get 80ml of food.
That’s how bad the situation was…
Rollercoaster Of Emotions
Further examinations showed that this poor girl had only 40% vision in her eye. Aside from that, she weighed only 10 pounds although normal weight should be at least 31 pounds.
She was also emotionally broken so she had to suffer pain from both outside and inside. Her saviors, however, weren’t willing to give up on her so easily.
They realized that they could alleviate at least her inner suffering by giving her all their love and attention. At first, it seemed that was helping her in every way, as she felt a bit better both physically and emotionally.
Unfortunately, that was short-lived. The very next day, the doctors examined her with X-rays and found that she had a severe lung infection.
They assumed that it got hit by an external force and they even stated that this poor puppy was in this state for almost eight weeks.
After all these findings about her health condition, the vets were forced to deliver the sad news — this dog’s chance of survival was very slim.
That information was like a bolt from the blue for her rescuers who were always by her side. However, although totally heartbroken, they decided to make her every moment joyful and filled with love.
Her Broken Heart Didn’t Make It
Despite everything, the rescuers did not lose hope till the last moment, and on the 10th day of the dog’s recovery, they thought that things were starting to get better.
The little furry fellow finally started walking a bit and that was a good sign. Aside from that, she gained some appetite and was eating a bit more.
Yet, just as these people began to rejoice, they realized that it was actually her last meal. Her broken heart didn’t make it and she soon crossed the rainbow bridge.
The tears flowed unstoppably, both because she was gone and because of her sad fate. Yet, they noticed something that cheered them up at least a bit — she left this world with a smile on her face, aware that there were people who loved her and would forever cherish her memory.
She crossed the rainbow bridge surrounded by love. ♥️
