There is nothing more valuable to a dog than the immense love of its owner. This is not surprising, considering that a dog’s whole life revolves around its favorite human.
While this love brings immense happiness, it can also lead to profound disappointment when that same owner betrays the dog. Sadly, such betrayal is not a rare occurrence; many canines experience this kind of trauma every day.
One day, a poor dog found himself in such a situation. His owner left him chained and abandoned him.
For a long time, this desperate furry creature held onto the hope that his beloved human would return for him until he finally came to the painful realization that he had been forsaken.
Life-Saving Call
That fateful day, one man heard loud crying from the backyard of the neighboring house. When he came to see what had happened, his heart broke at the sight of a poor dog left on a chain.
His, now-former owner left to find work and walked away from his canine fellow. This compassionate man who found him immediately called the rescuers for help and they were soon on their way to that place.
When the rescuers from Sidewalk Specials came, this dog named Charlie brightened up a bit as if he knew that these people were there to give him a new chance.
As soon as one of the rescuers started unchaining him, Charlie started whining out of joy, and immediately after that, jumped into the arms of this good man.
After they managed to calm him down a bit, they transferred him and gave him some water since he was dehydrated. Aside from that, Charlie was quite malnourished and needed to see the vet urgently.
There, the examinations revealed that he was suffering from tick bite fever, malnutrition, and dehydration. Considering what he had been through, it was no wonder.
However, these great people weren’t willing to give up on him and were determined to bring back the beautiful smile on his face.
They also shared a TikTok video featuring Charlie where they asked all the other good souls to help this dog on his journey to a new, happier life.

Charlie Deserves Happiness!
Sidewalk Specials asked all the good people to donate to Charlie’s vet bill so that he could recover as soon as possible. Many people responded and donated money, and there were also many heartwarming reactions to this video.
“There is so much cruelty in this world it’s heart-wrenching 😥,” one user wrote, while the other asked: “😭😭😭 why, why???”
The third quipped: “thank u guys for rescuing the poor baby 🥰.”
Charlie is still in the shelter and needs donations for his vet bill. While he is there, he will be taken care of by wonderful caretakers who are full of love.
However, if there is someone willing to give this beautiful dog a forever home, you must complete an application.
According to the rescue organization, “Charlie is approx two years old, he’s good with humans and dogs, cats unknown 💖,” but what is most important, he deserves a family who will give him unconditional love and never ever disappoint him again.
