For most dogs, living in a warm home with people who love you more than anything is the only thing they really need to live a comfortable life.
They are just simple like that. While we may take that fact for granted, it’s true. Dogs love spending their lives just hanging out with us.
However, not every dog is lucky to live like this. Sometimes, problems occur for the owners and the dog often ends up suffering as a result.
One such example would be Mia. Even though she was a very well behaved pup, her parents had to surrender her, which broke her heart. But, her story was not over yet and her rescuers wanted to prove that.
Mia’s New Chance

Mia’s life was not easy. Even though she had a wonderful life, her parents were forced to surrender her to the shelter and it devastated her.
To make matters worse, she was struck with a horrible leg injury, and it only got worse as time went on. It needed treatment, but she could not get it in time.
Her owners tried a more primitive method of treating the fractured leg, but the reality was that she needed surgery, which they couldn’t afford.
However, the rescuers who worked at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Control in North Carolina wanted to try to help her in any way they could.

However, there was just one problem. They were not equipped to deal with a tough situation like this. Mia’s condition was severe, so they needed to contact the professionals.
They reached out to Danny & Ron’s Rescue in South Carolina and decided to take Mia in. When they were fully briefed on her condition, they offered to help her.
Mia was rushed from one organization to another and was finally in the care of her new rescuers. They wanted to operate on her leg as soon as possible, so they prepared her for surgery.
Mia Is A Very Brave Dog

When the veterinarian examined Mia, he concluded that her condition was too severe, and the remains of her leg would have to be amputated so that she would have a chance.
They performed the surgery and it all went smoothly. Even though her life changed forever, that didn’t deter her spirit.
She was still a very outgoing and joyful dog who loved being around other people. Three weeks after the surgery, she was healing at a rapid pace.
And, her rescuers realized that she was able to walk just fine. Because her condition was now rapidly improving, the rescuers realized that she would soon be eligible for adoption.

Danny and Ron felt like she was the perfect dog. She had a home in the past, which meant that she was a well-behaved dog, and she was always very high-spirited. There is no question that she would make someone very happy someday.
In the meantime, she will stay with Danny and Ron who will work to give her the best life possible until she finds her forever home.
It’s thanks to them and all the amazing people who worked to help Mia that she now has a chance to thrive. She is a sweet dog who has been through a lot and she deserves all the best in her future.
