Pup Spent Days In Los Angeles Sewers Trying To Hide Away From Terrifying World

Sometimes, the most extraordinary things happen when you least expect them.

That was certainly the case when Becks Goodman, out driving on an ordinary day, spotted something quite unusual near a sewer.

Deciding to stop, she got out and noticed that it was actually a little pup who seemed to be in desperate need of assistance.

Without any second thoughts, Goodman got herself involved in an incredible rescue mission that would change the pup’s life forever.

I’m Here Now, Little One

The condition of the little pooch wasn’t really the best. He was suffering from extreme matts all over his body, causing him a great deal of pain

Luckily, he wasn’t too hungry as kind hoomans left food out for him so that he could feed his little belly.

Wanting to show him some love, Goodman called out to the pooch, but he was so terrified that he refused to leave the sewers. He would only do so when he wanted to have something to eat.

The sweet pup, who would later be named Lambert, was clearly in a pickle, and the rescuer needed to figure out a way to help him. Deciding to call for some reinforcements, she contacted fellow rescuers Mary Nakiso and Suzette Hall, knowing that they would know exactly what to do.

Hall figured out that getting a trap wouldn’t work. Since there was so much food around, she knew that the pup wasn’t really hungry – he was simply too scared.

After looking around, the rescuers noticed that the neighborhood was full of workers who had tools, most importantly, a crowbar. With their help, they managed to pry open the circular lid covering the sewer, finally providing Lambert with a way out.

Once the lid was off, Lambert was free, but he still wasn’t happy. It was obvious that he was terrified, and who could blame him – no one knew how long he had been trapped down there.

Finally Safe

After showering him with love and kisses, hoping it would allow him to feel better, Suzette rushed him to the vet’s office where he received a full medical assessment.

That is when everybody realized just how bad his condition truly was. The matting on his fur was so bad that it had to be shaved away completely

Even though the process was super uncomfortable for Lambert, he knew that he had to pull through as the results would make his life so much better.

It’s hard to say just how long Lambert had been living like this or if he even felt love before, but none of that mattered now. The only important thing was that he had been found in time

His troublesome and dark past was finally being erased with each day spent at his new home. Slowly but surely, Lambert will learn that there is nothing a little love can’t fix

Finally, Lambert no longer has to hide in the shadows of the sewer. Instead, he is receiving all the love and help he needs from hoomans who want nothing but the best for him.

His story truly is a reminder that even the smallest, most unexpected rescues lead to the greatest rewards.
