Senior Pup Who Was Rescued From A Horror House Has The Cutest Personality You Will Ever See

Senior Pup Who Was Rescued From A Horror House Has The Cutest Personality You Will Ever See

Sometimes, I can’t help but think about all the animals tucked away in the kennels of shelters.

This pup right here is somebody’s dream dog. This sweet kitten would make a person super happy whenever they would come back home from work. This puppy would be such a good friend to that little boy playing alone.

Countless statements such as this race around my brain, making me extremely sad. And, that’s exactly how I felt when I saw this sweet senior pup patiently waiting at a Pennsylvanian shelter for her perfect hooman.

No Place For A Pup

Inside one of the kennels at the Pennsylvania SPCA (PSPCA), Chessie, an adorable senior pup is cuddled up in her favorite blanket daydreaming about her pawfect life.

A loving hooman, a warm bed, and a couple of yummy treats here and there are all that this sweet girl needs to be happy. But, the saddest part is that Chessie never felt any of this since her previous life wasn’t what she deserved.

“At 12-years-old, Chessie was abandoned in a house of horrors,” the PSPCA wrote in a Facebook post.

One day, the PSPCA’s animal law enforcement received information from a kind soul that there was a group of animals living in unspeakable conditions close by. Taking such calls very seriously, a team of rescuers headed to the location immediately in order to investigate.

What they saw in that home completely shocked them. The home, which had no food or water inside, was filled with trash. Inside, many animals struggled to hold on to dear life, and Chessie was one of them.

“At her age, we wondered what her life had been like. How long had she been waiting for help? We were so grateful that the Good Samaritan took the time and care to speak up. They saved her, and we saved her too,” the PSPCA wrote.

One Day At A Time

When she arrived at the shelter, she was quite shaken up. Luckily, the kind rescuers understood her situation and gave her all the time and space in the world for her to adjust to her new life.

But, it took this sweet lady just a couple of days to understand that she was safe, allowing her to come out of her shell and show everybody who she really was

“When Chessie arrived at our shelter, it understandably took some time to build her trust. We are so lucky we did because this girl is goofy, playful and so sweet. She’s become a volunteer and staff favorite,” PSPCA volunteer programs manager, Lindsey King, told The Dodo.

Being so absolutely adorable, it didn’t take too much time for her to win over everybody’s hearts.

Since she is finally feeling herself, Chessie is looking for a forever home where she can happily live out her golden years.

“She’s a senior lady, so she’s looking for a home that will play with her but then relax and snuggle. Her ideal home would be one that doesn’t have other pets at this time. She’s also looking to live with families who can manage her big, playful size,” she added.

Every single person in her shelter is hoping that the right hooman comes along, sweeps Chessie off her paws, and takes her to her happily ever after! If that person is you, feel free to  visit the PSPCA website for adoption details
