Heartbroken Pup Who Refused To Let Go Of Woman’s Hand Became A Foster Fail When He Met Him

Heartbroken Pup Who Refused To Let Go Of Woman’s Hand Became A Foster Fail When He Met Him

Shelters are incredible places for stray animals to stay in.

Living out on the street can be quite harsh, scary, and stressful. Within a shelter, they not only have a roof over their head and food to fill up their bellies, but they also have incredible hoomans who are willing to do anything to make them feel loved and cared for.

But, even with all of the efforts of the shelter staff, staying too long inside a shelter can make the animals feel stressed and unwanted.

You Are Mine Now

While working at a low-cost spay-neutrer clinic, a woman named Abigail came across an adorable pup named Loki.

It was safe to say that it was love at first sight. After finding out that he was quite sick, Abigail decided to take him in as a foster.

“He held my hand for, pretty much the whole ride home. The look on his face was so powerful. Loki realized that he wasn’t getting left at the shelter anymore. You could just tell that he was relieved,” Abigail told The Dodo.

Seeing how adorable and sweet Loki was, Abigail decided to introduce him to her son, Leo. The second the two met, it was as if they were two long-lost friends who spent their entire lives looking for each other.

Best Friends Forever

Leo and Loki were now so close that they couldn’t imagine a single second apart.

“If Leo is going outside, Loki’s out there getting into stuff with him. We initially just wanted to foster him because we have a 3-year-old son, we have two Great Danes, so our house was pretty full,” she added.

When Loki became a foster fail, Abigail’s husband wasn’t really happy with the decision. But, after spending some more time with him, he was more than happy that he stayed.

Watching their son grow up with such an incredible and loyal companion made these parents’ hearts burst with joy. But, nobody was as happy as Loki.

Knowing that he finally found a loving companion with whom he could spend his entire life made him the happiest pup in the world.

“The feeling of safety after being in a tough spot in their lives, I wish more dogs could experience it,” stated Abigail.

Go Out And Adopt!

The sad reality is that there are so many pups around the world who still live the same life Loki once lived.

They spend their days locked up in a kennel, hoping that a hooman would finally notice them and offer them a life they know they deserve.

Therefore, if you are able to open up your home to a furry friend in need, please head over to your local shelter and adopt!
