Passerby Was Surprised To Discover A Helpless Creature Sleeping On A Tarp Outside Metro Station In California

While a kind-hearted person was boarding a train at the metro station in California, they spotted a tarp on the metro stairs and realized that there was a mysterious, hairless creature sleeping on it.

Once the Good Samaritan approached the stairs, they discovered that the strange-looking animal was actually a dog whose skin was sore and wrinkly.

The pup seemed to be used to people ignoring her so she didn’t even move when she noticed the passerby.

The good human was committed to helping her and they knew whom they should call.

The Good Samaritan reached out to Suzette Hall, the long-time rescuer and founder of Logan’s Legacy 29 in Irvine, California, urging her to help the pup.

Hall and her team of volunteers came up with a plan to save the dog, later named Sadie Rose.

Arturo Flores, the volunteer who was the closest to the metro station, rushed to her aid.

It was almost sunset when he arrived at the scene.

Despite Flores’ best efforts to capture Sadie Rose, she ran off to the drive-thru of the fast food restaurant across the street.

He continued searching for her, but unfortunately, it seemed like she vanished into thin air.

The next morning, Hall dashed to the metro station to look for Sadie Rose and she didn’t find her there.

She kept her watch, and after some time, Hall spotted the dog who was dragging her paws from exhaustion.

The experienced rescuer got out of her car and set many humane traps, making sure not to scare Sadie Rose.

Hall returned to her car and hoped that the smell of delicious treats would lure the doggo into the trap.

The hungry dog was very close to entering the trap several times, but she was spooked by passersby every single time and she ran off.

Hall was terrified that Sadie Rose would get hit by a car.

“Each time she would almost go into my trap, a person would show up and scare her away. And [then] she would go [cross] the street, so many times, almost getting hit by a car,” Hall wrote on Facebook.

After being scared so many times, the doggo disappeared without a trace once again. Hall drove around the neighborhood, hoping to find her but it was in vain.

Hours passed and Hall refused to give up on her. She couldn’t bear leaving Sadie Rose on the streets one more night.

Sadie Rose Is Finally Safe

She decided to check the dog’s second favorite hiding place and drove to the fast-food restaurant hoping to see her there.

Once she got there, the rescuer was relieved to see Sadie Rose walking slowly. She could tell that the doggo was running out of strength as she entered someone’s yard.

Hall wasn’t going to let the dog run away again. She parked her car in a hurry and secured the yard by using baby gates.

The homeowner offered to help Hall and they cornered the dog and watched her as she finally entered the trap.

Once she was in the crate, Sadie Rose was relieved. After living on the streets for so long, she felt safe. She sensed that her difficult life on the streets had come to an end.

Hall rushed her to the vet where she was diagnosed with mange. She started receiving treatment but had to be isolated from other dogs.

Her caregivers took great care of her, pampering her with care.

As Sadie Rose started getting better, her affectionate personality emerged and she delighted everyone around her.

“She is absolutely beautiful and the most lovable girl I have ever met. She matters so much, and I won’t give up [on] her,” Hall added.

After receiving treatment for over a month, the pup moved into a great foster home where she continues healing.

Her foster mom, Karen de Grandmaison, gives her a lot of love. Once she makes a full recovery and her fur grows back, Sadie Rose will be up for adoption.

Until then, she will continue spending a wonderful time in her foster home, soaking up her foster mom’s love and relaxing in the sun.
