Anyone who has ever left their dog alone in a home knows that they can get pretty mischievous sometimes. And, this is no surprise.
Sometimes, they do it out of anxiety, and other times, they’re just being a bit naughty. What’s funny is that most dogs know that tearing up stuff in the house will get them in trouble.
However, they just don’t seem to care. Seeing stuff like this can sometimes be problematic, but it’s also hilarious most of the time, so it’s important not to take it seriously.
This owner from Wisconsin was always curious about what her Dachshund does when she is away, only to be shocked when she came home.
A Mischievous Pup
When Alexis Orlopp first bought dog-friendly steps for her dog, she thought it would be useful for her pup to get on the couch.
At first, it worked, and Alexis was happy that her pup, named Lambo, used the steps to climb on the couch. However, that was short-lived.
Soon enough, Alexis left the house for only about 10 minutes. She came back to her home and was shocked by what her dog did in such a short amount of time.
She saw that Lambo had torn off some of the dog steps and he tried his best to play it off like he was the innocent one in that situation.
However, Alexis knew that it was never going to work. She knew Lambo was guilty. She jokingly noted that he was doing ‘arts and crafts’ in the house.
After getting home, she did her best to catch the entire moment on camera, so she would have proof of her dog’s guilt.
Hilarious Reactions
Shortly after she filmed the short clip, she decided to post it on TikTok. Alexis was surprised to learn that it gained a lot of attention and many people were sharing their reactions.
One person commented: “It’s always the trembles when they KNOW they did something wrong.”
I know, right? But, they never stop to think before actually making a mess. It’s like they know they could get in trouble, but don’t care anyway.
Another person said: “Dachshunds will do anything to not use stairs to get up and down from furniture. Including eating the stairs.”
Is this universal? Because I feel like it is. Although, it might just be the case for this naughty pup who loves making a mess.
Lastly, somebody commented: “He’s like I told you I wasn’t going to use those! They are for little dogs and I’m a big dog.”
Maybe that’s what it really means in the end. Maybe, Lambo believes that he doesn’t need these stairs because he is big enough.
Either way, this whole situation is really hilarious and it proves just how simple moments like this can always make someone’s day a little better.
