Owner From Tennessee Adopted A Tiny Goat And Noticed That She Started Acting A Lot Like Her Dog

We all know that dogs can make friends with just about anybody and that is one of their greatest qualities. But, to what end can they influence other animals… that is the question.

A lot of the time, other animals who grow up around dogs tend to start behaving in some ways like them and that should not be a big surprise.

For example, this owner from Tennessee adopted a baby goat and took her in. The woman’s dog was very eager to meet her and that’s when everything changed.

A Beautiful Friendship

After Taylor first took in Elsa, she had no idea that the goat and her dog, Eden, would get along so well. At first, she was a little reserved about the whole thing.

She knew that Eden was a very strong dog, which meant that he could accidentally injure Elsa, but that was not the case.

Eden was a bit confused after they first met. She had no idea how to feel about Elsa at first, but that would change soon.

Taylor told Cuddle Buddies: “Eden never clicked with anyone. She just wanted her own space, but that was just not the case with Elsa.

Anytime they would play, Eden was very gentle and she would never do anything to harm her. The two quickly became friends and started doing everything together.

Their favorite activities were usually running around and playing or just napping in the house. Eden was so good at taking care of her.

They spent so much time together that Elsa was starting to behave a lot like a dog, and this meant that she knew how to walk on a leash.

So, Taylor would take Eden and Elsa along with other dogs on hikes through Tennessee together for a fun adventure. This was always a fun time for them.

A New Journey For Elsa

Even though Elsa’s mom loved the fact that she had such a good friend in Eden, she realized that Elsa needed to spend more time with other goats.

So, they introduced her to the other goats and she would spend some time with them. It was a slow adaptation.

Taylor said: “So, we slowly took Elsa from being inside 24/7 with Eden to slowly going out.

Still, whenever they would go out for walks, Eden and Elsa were always together and that’s what is important.

However, just as everything was going great, the family received some bad news. Eden had a tumor and it looked like she wasn’t going to make it.

Eden crossed the rainbow bridge soon after. Everyone in the family was heartbroken by this, but Elsa was just confused.

She couldn’t understand why her friend was no longer coming to visit her. This also meant that she didn’t feel like going on walks as often as she did.

In order to help her, Taylor made sure that she was spending enough time with other goats, and that definitely changed her in some way.

Elsa became very social with the rest of them, and that was the most important thing. In many ways, she still behaved a lot like Eden and the family loved her so much.

Taylor said: “Now with Eden being gone, she just holds a special place in our heart.
