Every day we come upon many sad stories about neglected, abandoned, and abused animals who only want to be loved. Unfortunately, they are the best proof that people nowadays have lost all empathy for these poor, helpless creatures.
Although we sometimes can not even imagine that the situation can get worse than it is, a truly tragic fate for some animals can shock us and absolutely break our hearts all over again.
This story of the miserable life of a forgotten Bulldog who everyone abandoned shows it best.
However, it also shows that there are still good souls living in this world.
A Life Of Hunger And Pain
There was a dog living in the trash that no one seemed to notice. This poor little guy had no other choice than to make his home on the streets and eat whatever he could to survive.
Every day was a battle to find food, shelter, and warmth, but the most painful thing was that the world passed him by as if he didn’t even exist. His eyes, once full of life, now reflected only the loneliness and despair of a forgotten soul.
However, just when he started to lose hope that anyone would ever save him from this miserable existence, some good souls appeared like the bright light at the end of a long dark tunnel.
These kind people didn’t think for a second and immediately decided to get him out of that awful place. One of them gently took him in her arms and rescued him.
He was still sad and terrified but they could clearly see that he was also happy that someone finally noticed him and saved him from his misery.
After all those days spent in fear, sadness, and loneliness, he was finally heading to a place where he would be able to feel secure and loved.
A Glimmer Of Hope
When they drove him to safety and he came out of the truck, these people saw the glimmer of hope in his tired eyes, as if he knew that his life in the trash was finally over.
They were over the moon because of that and they knew that his new life could start. That’s why they also gave him a new name, Hulk, and provided him with everything he needed.
While waiting for a vet appointment, these great people made sure that Hulk was well-fed and comfortable. They gave him a soft place to rest, ensuring he felt safe and cared for, something he hadn’t experienced for far too long.
The very next day, one of his saviors took Hulk to the vet. The distemper test, thankfully, was negative. Unfortunately, he tested positive for ehrlichiosis and anaplasmosis. To make matters worse, he weighed only 57 pounds, far too low for his breed.
Besides, one of his legs was in terrible condition, but for now, they did not want to do anything about it.
Despite all the difficulties, these people did not forget that beautiful glimmer of hope they saw in his eyes when they saved him.
It motivated them to do everything in their power to make Hulk’s future bright, no matter what.
The Life He Deserves
Immediately upon the vet’s diagnosis and the results of the tests, Hulk’s caretakers went into action to help him recover as soon as possible.
They implemented a specialized diet tailored to his needs. Initially, they provided him with grain-free kibble that was rich in protein and essential nutrients. They also supplemented his meals with wet food to encourage him to eat and that was a great decision.
Since hydration was very important, they also made sure that there was always a bowl of water close to him. He was also consuming bone broth which is not only nutritious but a true health bomb for the digestive system.
All this contributed to an unusually short period of recovery. Hulk felt much better very soon, and when he reached the desired weight, nothing could stop him on the way to his goal.
It only remained to be seen what his caretakers would do about his injured leg. However, everything went so well that these people no longer had any doubts about the happiest possible outcome.
From a forgotten dog who lived in the trash, Hulk became the happiest pup who experienced a love that he never dreamed of experiencing in his life.
And all that thanks to good people who once again emerged victorious in the face of malice in this world.
