A tiny newborn kitten needed the love and warmth of his mom, but sadly, he was forced to go on with his life without her by his side.
As much as he tried, the kitten, later named Potato, couldn’t stop crying for his mom. He wished to wake up from his nightmare and see her beloved face.
Potato was unable to fend for himself and his life was hanging by a thread.
Luckily, a local rescue found Potato. They took him in and they found him a great foster mom named Karen.
The kitten moved in with her, not realizing that his life would change forever.
Corbin Meets Potato
Karen gave him around-the-clock care and a lot of love.
Potato started regaining his strength.
His foster mom introduced him to Corbin, her lovely Great Dane who usually helped her with fostering kittens.
The moment Corbin saw the defenseless newborn kitten, he was smitten with him and he wished to protect him.
“Some sort of a maternal instinct kicks in with him and he becomes such a gentle giant around kittens,” Karen told The Dodo.
Corbin approached him and licked his face.
He knew that Potato missed his mom and he wanted to be there for him. The doggo snuggled with him and the kitten slept in his arms.
Since the day he met Potato, Corbin took the role of his mom.
“So, I would feed Potato, I’d hand him over to Corbin, and Corbin would clean him up. Then they’d snuggle together and Corbin would keep him warm,” Karen added.
Potato was no longer sad. The love that Corbin showered him with filled the void in his heart.
Thanks to the abundant love that Potato received from both his family and Corbin, he thrived more and more.
Potato and Corbin adored each other. The two friends spent their days snuggling and taking naps together.
When Potato went to the hospital to have his neutering surgery, Corbin missed him terribly.
Once the lovely kitten returned home, the doggo showered him with kisses and held him in his arms, showing him how much he loved him.
A Place To Call Home
Potato sometimes played with George, Karen’s other dog, but the bond he shared with Corbin was special.
While Potato and George were playing, Corbin was always watching over his little friend, making sure he was safe and sound.
The kitten was playful and full of spunk. He enjoyed doing zoomies around the house and leaping at George.
The more Potato revealed his personality, the more Karen fell in love with him.
It didn’t take long for her to realize that she couldn’t part ways with Potato and she officially adopted him.
The kitten wasn’t surprised. He always knew that he belonged with Corbin and Karen.
Potato blossomed into a handsome and confident cat. His love for the affectionate Great Dane never changed.
Corbin continues helping his mom with fostering kittens, but Potato is still his best friend. The two siblings love each other immensely.
