We live in a world where it’s almost too common to see an abandoned or stray dog on the street while people just do their best to ignore them.
These pups spend most of their time just trying to survive, hoping that someone kind will give them a chance.
We are swamped with many such examples, but we don’t often hear about the stories where people actually reach out and help the stray dogs.
Well, this is one such story. This man saw a stray dog on the streets of Kansas and decided to help him in any way he could.
Hope For A Desperate Pup
When a TikTok user named Izzy White first came upon a stray dog on the streets of Kansas, he immediately saw just how sad and desperate the pup was.
He didn’t want to scare him, so he gave him a bowl of food to see his reaction. Naturally, the pup was starving, so he came up to the bowl and ate the food.
The dog seemed genuinely happy to see this man and was wagging his tail the whole time. Who knows how long it had been since he was treated with kindness?
Soon after, the man asked around about the dog and the local PD told him that he was considered ‘unapproachable.’
This shocked the kind man who saw immediately that this pup was just so lovable right from the beginning. He was able to get the pup to go into the man’s vehicle.
Soon after that, he took him back home. The pup received a warm bath and he looked so happy and comfortable in the presence of his rescuer.
The man who gave him this chance also decided to give him a wonderful home. This beautiful pup, now named Cubby, will never have to worry about anything anymore.
Heartwarming Reactions
Naturally, Izzy White uploaded the rescue clip on his TikTok channel where it received overwhelming attention and praise.
Many people came to share their thoughts on the rescue and most reactions were pretty positive.
One person commented: “He’s a handsome boy and deserves a good home. Well done to you for giving him a chance.”
After everything he has been through, Cubby deserves a chance to relax and live his life with someone kind.
Another person said: “He was unapproachable because he waiting on you. You were sent to save him. He has a lot of love for his Dad. His paw wave in the end is so cute. Thank you Izzy for giving him a forever home.”
Yeah, it’s really wonderful to see just how quickly this pup warmed up to Izzy. It’s like he knew immediately that this man only wanted what was best for him.
Lastly, somebody commented: “He is a very handsome dog. Certainly has Akita in him. Explains why you say he was unapproachable, they can be aloof to strangers. They are amazing dogs. I had 3 at one time. They steal your heart.”
I have no doubt that he stole Izzy’s heart. This sweet pooch has been through so much at this point and he just deserves to be with someone who treats him with respect.
Thanks to Izzy, he is finally getting that, and I am so happy to see just how happy he is. If this short clip can show us anything, it’s how simple it is to change a dog’s life when we show them love and respect.
