Growing up with a dog is probably one of the most life-changing experiences and I mean that quite literally.
Even though we, as humans, go through many changes in our lives, our furry companions can shape and influence us to be better people just by being there for us.
It’s amazing how such small and simple gestures can change lives, but it’s the truth. They make our lives that much better and we do our best to return that kindness.
For this man from Tennessee, the situation was no different. He grew up with his dog, Uno, but everything changed when he went to college.
He could no longer see his best friend, so it made Uno quite sad. However, when he finally came back after six months at college, the man realized that there was a huge surprise waiting for him.
Welcome Back
When Uno realized that his best friend was no longer at their home in Tennessee, he became really sad. Things changed and he was not used to it.
This would go on for months, and the pup would slowly get used to it. He would spend a lot of his days just lying at the door and watching the yard.
Maybe he was hoping that his best friend would come back to play with him. After all, Uno had no way of understanding why his buddy left.
Nevertheless, things would change very soon. Nearly six months after Uno’s best friend left for college, he decided to come back home.
The family was so happy and they prepared everything for arrival, but Uno had no way of knowing that he was coming back.
When the man pulled up with his truck, Uno saw it and immediately jumped out of the house and started running to the truck.
However, he didn’t want to get his hopes up just yet. It was only after his mom confirmed it that Uno realized it was really him.
So, he rushed straight at him and gave him the biggest hug in the world. The parents were so happy that their son was back home in Tennessee and Uno couldn’t contain his happiness the whole time he was there.
Heartwarming Reactions
When the family recorded this wholesome moment, they decided to post it all on their TikTok account. Unsurprisingly, it reached a lot of people and received an overwhelming response.
One person commented: “Enjoy this. Lost my boy three months ago and coming home is so hard. Please enjoy this every single time you get to experience it.”
This is a heartbreaking comment, but it shows us just how short and precious our time with dogs really is and we need to spend as much time with them as we can.
Another person said: “The way the cat got the hell out of dodge when he started fishing tailing lol. But so sweet, what a happy dog.”
Oh well, you don’t want to get in between a dog and his best friend. But, seriously though… seeing Uno’s reaction was one of the most wholesome things ever.
Lastly, somebody commented: “That boys dog smelt him coming from miles down the road!! I love your sons entry! I could watch this a million times.”
I agree with this. The entire video reminds us just how beautiful life can be with our dogs if we give them the love that they deserve and it really doesn’t take much.
