Hiccups are annoying. Every time I eat a lot of food very fast, I get hiccups. It’s uncomfortable and it usually lasts very long for me unless I drink a lot of water to suppress it.
I try to eat slower to avoid this situation, but sometimes it happens regardless. Luckily, this isn’t a really big problem.
However, this poses an interesting question. What about animals? Is this a common problem for them, too, or is it isolated for humans only?
Can dogs also get hiccups? Well, the simple answer is yes, and we have a very special clip that demonstrates just that.
The Most Adorable Puppy
When Laura first noticed that her puppy was getting hiccups, she decided to film his reaction. At first, her dog seemed confused as to what was happening.
He couldn’t understand if this was bad or good. He was just looking at his mom with the most adorable puppy eyes. Luckily, hiccups are usually not a bad sign, even for dogs.
It’s likely that this adorable puppy may have eaten his lunch a little too fast and this caused the hiccups.
In such cases, the best thing you can do is give him some water to drink or gentle belly rubs. This usually works.
Hiccups go away after a few minutes, but if your dog gets scared of them, then trying out some of these methods might work.
Either way, there is no need to be concerned about it at all. If this sweet puppy could go through it, then so can any other dog.
Internet’s Heartwarming Reaction
When Laura first uploaded the short clip of her puppy’s hiccups, the video exploded in popularity and gained over 100 million views.
It’s safe to say that there was no shortage of heartwarming reactions to this puppy’s first hiccups.
One person commented: “This is an illegal amount of cuteness in one creature.”
I completely agree. This puppy is just so sweet and seeing his reaction to the hiccups somehow makes him even more adorable.
Another person said: “That’s about the cutest darn face I’ve ever seen, and then the puppy hiccups on top of it!!”
What makes it particularly adorable is that he looks a bit confused and starts giving his mom the puppy eyes, hoping that she might have a solution for the issue.
Lastly, somebody commented: “I would never accomplish anything ever with those eyes staring at me all day.”
And, the heartwarming comments don’t stop there. There are so many of them that it’s impossible to read them all.
It’s really sweet how one puppy’s reaction to hiccups united so many people. Dogs really have such an incredible ability to unite everyone with their cuteness.
