A fragile two-week-old puppy kept sobbing while she was lying on the side of a road.
Cruel people took the little baby away from her mother, exposing her to danger and leaving her to fend for herself.
Since the puppy sustained injuries, she was unable to crawl and search for her mom whom she missed so much.
She was close to reaching the point of no return but she didn’t lose hope. The furbaby cried as loud as she could, hoping that someone would hear her.
Will anyone find her before it’s too late?
Fighting To Save A Life
Luckily, the puppy was found and brought to Bosley’s Place, a rescue and nursery for homeless and neonatal puppies, located in Smyrna, Georgia.
The staff felt heartbroken to hear her desperate whimpers.
They could tell that the pup, later named Dumpling, was in pain. Her whole body was covered in puncture wounds and she was barely holding on.
The staff didn’t know what happened to her. They rushed her to the vet where she was fully examined.
Dumpling was in a terrible state. She had broken ribs and subcutaneous emphysema caused by her wounds.
She was given antibiotics and pain relievers. Since she was too weak to nurse on her own, the staff started tube-feeding her.
Dumpling moved to the nursery. Her caregivers watched over her and gave her the best possible care, hoping that she would pull through.
“All we can do from this point forward is provide her with the care that she needs and pray that she is strong enough to overcome the obstacles that she is faced with,” Bosley’s Place wrote in a Facebook post.
The pup was fighting a fever for a few hours, but luckily, she felt better the next morning.
Dumpling proved to be a fighter.
On day three, the pup gathered strength and she started nursing.
The staff cuddled her, letting her know that she was not alone anymore. The puppy soaked up all the love they gave her.
Gradually, Dumpling’s wounds started healing.
The vet team was confident that the puppy’s injuries were caused by a predatory bird grab.
Dumpling Recovers And Finds Her Happiness
As time passed, the puppy’s health improved more and more. Her ribs began mending on their own.
The staff was amazed by the speed of her recovery.
Dumpling had the most adorable personality. She started playing and cuddling with Lentil, another rescue puppy that lived in the nursery.
Once Dumpling reached full health, she was put up for adoption and she soon found her perfect match.
She was happy to meet her forever family who was enchanted with her. They gave Dumpling the immense love that she needed.
The pup has her own Instagram account where she often posts about her life.
Dumpling loves spending time with her sister, Hazelnut Abbey, who was also adopted from the Smyrna rescue.
From an abandoned, injured puppy who had a pretty rough start in life, Dumpling blossomed into a gorgeous and joyful dog.
