Grandma Despised Pit Bulls Until Her Daughter Got One, Then She Fell In Love

Sadly, this world is full of stereotypes, and that makes the lives of some beings awful. The breed of dogs most affected by this way of thinking are Pit Bulls.

Many people think that they are unadoptable because of their aggression and are convinced that there is nothing they can do about it. Jeannette was of the same opinion, even when her daughter, Lara, assured her that it was not so.

When Lara decided to adopt a Pittie, this woman was strongly against the idea. However, everything suddenly changed when she met that same Pit Bull for the first time.

Love At First Sight

Lara has always been a true dog lover and there was almost not a moment in her life when she did not have a furry companion by her side.

As such, she was not poisoned by the stereotypes about some dog breeds that people think are unadoptable, including Pit Bulls. Because of that, she decided to adopt one despite her mom’s opposition.

Lara was convinced that her mom would change her opinion as soon as she met this amazing Pittie, who she named Radley. It soon turned out that she was absolutely right.

“As soon as she met Radley, she was instantly in love with her,” Lara told The Dodo.

It was a truly amazing moment because Jeannette not only fell in love with Radley, but she became obsessed with the breed itself

“Now my mom sends us pretty much every pit-bull-themed Instagram that she sees,” Lara happily stated.

Since they do not live together, Radley and Jeannette can’t see each other very often, but when they do, it is always the most heartwarming meeting.

In Love With Everyone

When Radley came to her new home, she not only captured the heart of her grandma but of all others as well. Every member of the family loved her and enjoyed spending time with her, and she reciprocated a hundredfold.

Yet, Radley not only hung out with humans but with other animals as well, and she instantly became friends with other furry fellows in the house.

She enjoyed spending time with the house cat, Captain, and she even befriended a bunny.

“People assume that you can’t have babies or cats or anything near a Pit Bull,” Lara said. “We’ve had a bunny nest since we had Radley. She’ll lie down and literally just stare at them.”

All this is confirmation that there is no reason for Pit Bulls to be so judged by people.

“No dog is perfect. Every dog has their quirks.” Lara said. “Just being able to learn your dog and give them what they need when they need it.”

In that case, every dog, even the Pit Bull, will flourish and become the best doggo in the world. Radley is a living example.
