Dog Who Has Only Lived In Apartments Finally Gets A Home With A Yard

If we are talking about dog rights, we must mention that every dog has a right to his own yard.

Well, this rule or right is sometimes difficult to implement. Not all dogs can have a home with a yard. Reese’s Puffs was one of those dogs.

The sweet red Aussie Shepherd lived his entire life in apartments, only visiting the outside when it was walkie time.

This time around, Reese’s pawrents decided a change of home was needed, and you wouldn’t believe where: to a home with a yard!

Oh, Reese would be so thrilled!

Is That… Is That A Back Yard?

Reese’s family is from Austin, Texas. Before having their own cozy home, they had to live in an apartment. Nothing wrong with that, right? Right, but both Reese’s mom and dad knew they wanted to buy a house one day.

A house with a yard for Reese and them to enjoy it.

That day had finally come!

Without Reese knowing a thing, Mom and Dad moved their stuff into the new home and then brought Reese to check out the new crib.

In a video posted and featured by The Dodo, Reese eagerly waits to come inside and sniff the new place.

He roams around like a little detective dog, surprised to discover that he knows those smells because they are the smells of their old stuff.

And then… Reese just lost it. He saw a glass door, and what lay behind it gave this Texas-based mini Aussie Shepherd the chills.

A backyard!

“That’s your yard… Yeah… It’s your yard… It’s yours”, said dad in the video.

If Reese could talk, he’d definitely say something like: Really? Really? Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Oh, boy!

Reese was such a good boy. He didn’t just check out the yard; he played in it for hours and hours.

But, that wasn’t all. Mom had to do one more thing to make this day memorable. She threw a ball party! Literally, Mom pulled out a box full of tennis balls and just threw them all in the yard.

Needless to say, Reese was beyond ecstatic.

The only bad thing that came with the yard was the fact that Reese didn’t want to leave his yard, like ever.

Getting him to go outside for walks now is pretty much impossible. Still, once he notices his four-legged buddies are tagging along, he will join them, too.

At the end of the day, Reese just plops in his backyard, enjoying all the space Mom and Dad bought for him.

Life was sweet for Reese, and now it is even sweeter. A pup full of energy, a typical dognado, now has lots of room outside for fun zoomies, sunbathing, and enjoying an active life.
