Dog Was Stuck In A Water Well After A Serious Accident, But Then He Finally Caught A Break

Every time I see a new dog struggling, my heart breaks a little more. In those moments, I am again reminded that dog cruelty is a never-ending issue, and it is our duty to remain constantly aware of it.

However, Moises’ story truly brought me to my knees.

This poor boi spent hours on the side of the road after a few kind souls pulled him out of a water well. How he ended up there is a story in itself – one that would make even the toughest heart weep!

He Was On The Edge

When a local rescuer named Serafina received a photo of Moises from the people who had helped him, she immediately stopped in her tracks.

As it turned out, this poor black dog had been run over by a truck, and instead of getting help, a heartless person had thrown him in a water well.

He ended up with multiple injuries, yet somehow, Moises miraculously survived. He spent hours in the well, waiting for kind people to notice him. Luckily, a few of them did, and they immediately took to Serafina.

“The neighbors took him out of the well where he had been since 6 a.m. They sent me his photo, telling his sad story,” Serafina wrote on Facebook.

Upon arriving at the spot, Serafina was shocked one more time. Moises was in a much worse condition than she had thought. He couldn’t even hold his head up or make any movements.

Serafina used a stretcher to transport him to the car, and the next thing he knew, he was at an animal hospital.

Sadly, Moises’ condition was as bad as expected. He had multiple fractures, suffered from malnutrition, and on top of everything – he struggled with bladder issues.

“He is hospitalized because he has surgery tomorrow. He has 3 fractures, as seen in the X-ray. He eats and drinks well, but the problem is that he doesn’t urinate and has bowel movements,” Serafina wrote on Facebook.

Still, this poor boy was the kindest dog ever. He never showed any signs of aggression and only had love in those heartbreakingly sad eyes. After successful surgery, Moises had a urinary catheter for the most part and still had a long way to go.

A Year Later, Moises Is A Brand-New Dog

For the next few months, Serafina and Moises had regular vet visits, lots of physiotherapy, and home exercises – but they eventually made it!

Aside from his chronic bladder problems, Moises finally got back on his paws – and he now looks like a brand-new dog. He has successfully overcome his past trauma, both physically and emotionally, and boi does he look better with some weight on!

Serafina used a specially-designed meal plan to help Moises gain healthy weight, and it is safe to say that she, indeed, succeeded.

Today, Moises feels better than ever.

He happily wags his tail and goes on walkies with his mom, eagerly awaiting plenty of exciting adventures with each new day.

The one thing he’s missing is a forever home, and Serafina hopes that will change soon. He is a true companion, a lovebug, a shoulder to cry on, and a friend. When the time comes, his foster mom hopes that the right family will find him and give him everything he needs.

After all he has been through, Moises definitely deserves it!
