When it’s meant to be, you just know.
That night, as Ganga called for help, Gowri knew it was destiny that brought them together.
She just couldn’t leave this dog, cruelly tied to a pole by a heartless person, alone. Instead, she decided to step up and change her entire life for the better.
She Desperately Needed Someone To Save Her
In all her life, Ganga had never felt more depressed. Her previous owner decided to abandon her in the worst way possible – by leaving her on the street with no food and water.
On top of that, they tied her to a pole, so she was unable to move at all.
Ganga spent hours and hours calling for help, but all she received in return were passersby ignoring her – until, eventually, a kind-hearted woman came by.
“She called me, she yelled for me, she waited for me to rescue her,” Gowri stated in an Instagram post.
As soon as Gowri spotted her, Ganga began to wag her tail, as if she somehow knew she was being saved. Gowri immediately untied her and showered her with love, to which this sweet dog happily reciprocated.
Sadly, Ganga’s situation had taken a toll on her. Her skin was in a bad condition and needed immediate attention. Thanks to Gowri, she was safely transferred to a local rescue organization for treatment – and Ganga responded remarkably!
Within weeks, she had regained her old glow and was ready to embark upon a brand new journey. And what better person to match her with than her original rescuer!
Thanks to Gowri, Ganga has been permanently adopted into a loving home, surrounded by people (and dogs) who now truly love her.
“There was no way I was letting her get adopted by someone else. She was meant to come home with me and she did. She will never be in distress or in pain ever again,” she added.
Living The Best Life
Today, Ganga’s life is pretty much everything she had ever dreamt of. She has a nice, cozy home and two furry siblings, Meiko and Luna, with whom she gets along incredibly well.
Gowri, on the other hand, couldn’t be more thankful for finding Ganga that day.
“It was true destiny how I found her and for her coming home to us. She’s safe, loved, happy and healthy and at home where she belongs,” her mom wrote on Instagram.
Ganga feels better than ever while celebrating the happiest year of her life.
She gets to do all the things she was deprived of in her previous home. She runs freely, plays with her housemates, takes exciting walkies, and creates endless memories down the road.
With Meiko and Luna, who embraced her with paws wide open, Ganga has rediscovered her true self.
It turns out she’s pawsome – she just needed someone to recognize that in her. And now she has it all!
