Dog Returned To Shelter Three Times Just Wants A Family Who Will Not Abandon Her

Dog Returned To Shelter Three Times Just Wants A Family Who Will Not Abandon Her

Adopting a dog is definitely not an easy task. While some would think that it’s as simple as picking one who is sweet and playful, it is a lot more than that.

Compatibility can be a real problem for many people. Sometimes, they will take in a dog they don’t like, which will, in turn, lead to that pup being returned to the shelter.

While this seems a bit cruel, it’s probably better for the dog in the long run because it means they have a better chance of finding a family who will love him.

Cindy is in a similar situation because she has had little luck in her life. Her rescuers were shocked to learn that she couldn’t find a home.

She Is So Sad

When Cindy was first taken to Adoption First Animal Rescue in North Carolina, she was living her life as a stray.

The rescuers worked vigilantly to find her a home and were actually successful. She managed to find one family, but it didn’t last long.

She was returned a week later because she chewed on her owner’s things and they didn’t like her because of that.

Her other adoptions didn’t go much better. At one point, she was living with someone who seemed like a great match.

Cindy was in the home for three months and then the rescuers suddenly saw something that shocked them. The owners posted her online for sale.

They immediately went to pick her up. After asking the owners why they did that, they responded by saying that the dog was not a match for them.

It made her very sad to be back at the shelter as this was the third time she was sent back. Staying in the shelter for too long is not very good for any dog.

Despite this, the rescuers are doing their best to find somebody who will hopefully take in Cindy and give her the life that she deserves.

When North Carolina rescuers posted about Cindy’s story on TikTok, they were hoping to help raise awareness about her situation.

Thankfully, a lot of people saw the video and there might be a good chance that somebody will adopt this sweet pooch.

One person commented: “Our rescue was returned twice and he’s the best thing that ever happened to us. 13 years of love. Please give a chance!

It’s absolutely wonderful to see that people like this exist and it gives me hope that Cindy will also find someone who will love her this much.

Another person said: “I’m so sorry, people are so cruel. A pet is family, you never leave them, hope you find your forever home.

This needs to be said more. While I can understand that caring for a dog can be difficult, people should never adopt them if they are not ready. It causes dogs a lot of heartbreak.

Lastly, somebody said: “Dogs need three days to decompress, 3 weeks to know your routine and 3 months to know they are safe… and be the best version of themselves… living breathing souls who deserve better. Love conquers all.

This is also important. A lot of people don’t really give a chance to a dog they adopt. It takes time for them to get used to a new life and we, as people, need to show more patience.

I have no doubt that Cindy will find someone who will treat her with the love and care she deserves, as she is a really special dog and deserves all the best.
