Dog Miraculously Helps Disabled Puppy Saved From Euthanasia Walk For The First Time

We all need a friend. When times get tough or when we need a shoulder to cry on, it’s comforting to have someone close to our hearts who can tell us it’s all going to be alright.

This is no exception even in a dog’s world. Some pups, despite the immense love and support they receive from their owners, won’t be able to leap unless there’s a furry friend there to give them a nudge.

A dog’s bond can be so strong that it creates miracles, and Little’s story is definitely Exhibit A.

Little’s Life Was On The Edge

Little’s backstory is far from happy. She was born in an overcrowded shelter in Los Angeles, California, alongside several of her littermates. Sadly, all the puppies were immediately set for euthanasia, including Little

Her life was sentenced to an early end through no fault of her own… but then came miracle number one. Little was saved by a local rescue organization and sent to a foster home with Kels McDonough, a longtime foster.

When she first arrived at her temporary California home, Little was completely shut down. She suffered from Swimmer Puppy Syndrome, a condition characterized by undeveloped muscles and legs that remain splayed out behind the body.

Instead of embracing a new life with paws wide open, Little laid lethargically, waiting for Kels to pick her up. She found ultimate comfort in her momma’s arms and wanted to be held 24/7.

But, Kels didn’t mind. She knew that Little would come out of her shell at some point – she just needed to do things at her own pace.

Then, in the weeks that followed, that day finally arrived!

Kels’ other two dogs, Nash and Lou, welcomed Little into their pack, and they couldn’t have been more gentle as brothers to her.

Little slowly replaced her momma’s lap and arms with their brothers’ company – especially Nash’s. In no time, she began to get comfy in Nash’s bed and on his back until she finally started to engage in playtime.

Being a disabled puppy who couldn’t walk on her own, Little soon took everyone by surprise!

Here Comes The Miracle

It turns out that all Little needed was a friend! For some reason, she found her happy place next to Nash and soon transformed into a brand-new puppy.

This big boi was also a shut-down canine in the past, which probably resonated with him when he saw that Little needed a push. According to Kels, Nash definitely brought light back into Little’s life, ultimately leading to a miraculous outcome!

Months after her arrival at Kels’ home, Little finally walked without problems! She engaged in exciting playtime with Nash and Lou, running freely through the yard as if her syndrome never existed.

It is safe to say that her big brother pushed her to her limits and helped Little rediscover her cheerful puppy spirit that she didn’t know existed.

Now, she’s even faster than Nash!

“She’s just gotten stronger and stronger and she’s faster than Nash now,” Kels told GeoBeats Animals.

To see her completely transformed and enjoying her life to the fullest is truly rewarding.

“When I first got her, I was prepared like she may never walk normal and that’s totally okay, but to see how far she’s come is really a miracle,” Kels added.

Little, once being in Kels’ home on a temporary basis, is now a full member of the family – and she’s not intending to leave! She definitely found her hope and rediscovered her life next to her pack members. And, she can’t wait to embark on many exciting adventures down the road!
