Every true dog owner loves their pup from the bottom of their heart and would do anything to make them happy. Dogs, however, have their own curious and mischievous side, but that’s part of what makes these furry creatures so lovable.
A dog living with his owner in Tennessee learned, after careful observation, how to open the front door—and soon decided to put this newfound skill to use.
But, he didn’t do it during the day or when his owner was awake; instead, he waited until she was fast asleep.
To make things even more interesting, he managed to involve the indoor cats in his little adventure.
Dog’s Night Show
Kelly is from New York but lives with her pets in Tennessee. On October 23, 2024, she decided to share the video of her dog and three cats escaping the house in the middle of the night via her TikTok account, @ceallach330.
In the video, we can see a dog sneaking out of the house in the middle of the night, followed by the indoor cats.
“When the door is left unlocked and your dog figures out how to open it while you’re asleep, letting your 3 indoor cats out,” Kelly wrote in the video.
However, only the dog ran into the yard of the house while the cats stayed right near the door, with one of them getting the closest to the stairs.
He soon came back and started sniffing the cats, and maybe he was persuading them to join him. However, the cats were smart and stayed safe.
Soon after that, two people appeared in the yard. As soon as the dog saw them, he went into playing mode and started wagging his tail. It was their neighbors who eventually escorted this playful dog into the house and closed the door behind him.
“The entire menagerie, just out in the world…all willy nilly…not a care in the world! They are all grounded! 😂” Kelly wrote in the caption of the video.

Kelly’s video soon attracted a lot of attention on TikTok. There were many reactions and we decided to highlight some of the comments.
“Well, at least your dog was taking care of all 3 cats! They’d definitely all be grounded on my watch 😂,” one user wrote.
“He was hoping the cats would run away lol,” another joked.
The third stated: “awesome neighbors.”
Although she generally didn’t have much praise for them, this time, Kelly had to point out the great behavior of the neighbors who “let them all back in and [closed] the door.”
Our furry friends, despite being mischievous, always somehow bring out the best in people, and that is the most wonderful thing about them.
