Living with a dog is sometimes hardly different from living with another human being. They are similar to us in many ways.
We are creatures of habit. We love doing things on repeat as it gives us stability and comfort in our lives.
However, dogs are like this, too, but we sometimes don’t pay enough attention to these types of things. My dog had a funny habit of running laps around the house anytime he would go out.
Small things like this really make them special to us, and Bo is not an exception. He is a very sweet dog who has the most adorable habit before eating that will surprise anyone.
Bo Needs A Kiss
Even though Cassidy Barnard had spent a lot of time around her neighbor’s dog, Bo, she was actually surprised by his behavior.
He is just the most gentle pup ever, and being around him has always been fun. However, before feeding him, she had to do something surprising.
As Bo was approaching his food bowl, she noticed that he wouldn’t start eating. Instead, he turned his gaze to Barnard, as if asking for something.
She gave him a kiss on the nose, and after that, he started enjoying his meal. A simple gesture of affection like this is something Bo is used to by now.
And, he just looks so adorable when asking for it. Naturally, this became a routine for them from that moment on.
Barnard decided to record this beautiful moment on camera multiple times and thought it would be a good idea to share it with the world.
A Wholesome Reaction
The page, WeRateDogs, posted Barnard’s clip on Instagram. After only a short while, this video reached thousands of people and everyone fell in love with Bo.
One person commented: “Okay but my pup does the same thing. Except HE wants to boop MY nose before he eats. Like he’s thanking me for serving him. Every. Damn. Time.”
It’s good to know that Bo isn’t the only dog who has this habit, and seeing people share their own experiences is always wholesome.
Another person said: “This is adorable, but this is also the type of stuff people forget to tell the dog sitter haha and I spend like 20 mins trying to figure out what the release cue is for the poor puppy to eat his dinner.”
This comment should also come as a tip for anyone dogsitting. If a dog has any habit, it’s important that you ask about it.
Lastly, somebody commented: “My dog requires “the lunchy-loo” song, sungonly by me. My husband sings it but it doesn’t work.”
It’s so wholesome to also read about the habits of other dogs and their owners. Posts like this always bring people together. Bo is a really special dog, and I am happy to see that he is so loved by his family.
