What Is A Doberman?
The Doberman Pinscher is a dog breed originally created by a German tax collector named Louis Dobermann. The breed was discovered in the late 19th century. Back in the day, tax collecting was dangerous, and people who had that job were often the target of robberies.
Dog historians believe the Doberman was developed by crossbreeding breeds like the Rottweiler, German Pinscher, and Black and Tan Terrier.
Thanks to their superb work abilities, Dobermans have become popular dogs and have maintained that status throughout the years. When you combine this trait with their loyalty and natural instincts, you’ll get one excellent guard dog.
With over 100 pounds, a muscular body, and intimidating looks, the Doberman is a brave and confident dog that will protect you and your family no matter what. So, you better make sure he never lacks premium dog food.

This all may sound as if Dobermans are dangerous. Au contraire! They’re kind souls and very affectionate towards their family members. Still, socializing is a must!

1. Doberman Shepherd: Doberman Mix With German Shepherd

The Doberman Shepherd is a mixed breed dog from two extraordinary working dog breeds, both originally from Germany. The parent breeds we’re talking about are the German Shepherd and the Doberman Pinscher. These are dog breeds with amazing physical and cognitive abilities.
What else is big about these doggies is their build. That’s why it’s not unusual for their mixed puppy to be over 100 pounds. While the puppy can inherit the Doberman’s coat colors, the facial features usually come from the German Shepherd.
The Doberman German Shepherd mix will be a working dog, like its parents, and thus it should be adopted into an active home.

The Dobergi has short and stubby legs and an elongated body. They inherit their dark coat color and ears from the Doberman parent.

However, this doesn’t mean they should do that. While all pups are wonderful, we still have to think about whether intentional breeding of two contrasting breeds is ethical. Sadly, the Dobie Russell is a crossbreed prone to numerous health problems.
