Once you fall in love with a furry creature, that love is hard to eradicate. Dog lover, now breeder, Bethany Franco, from Fort Worth, Texas, knows this best.
When a Dachshund came into his life a few years ago, he had no idea that it would steal his heart so quickly and that something great would be born from it.
However, this is exactly what happened when this man decided to become a Texas Dachshund breeder. Since then, many adorable puppies have passed through his hands and he has experienced many heartwarming moments with them.
Yet, nothing compares to the moment when he introduced one of his Miniature Dachshunds, Dad, to his newborn son. It is a scene that is heart-melting to the core.
Love At First Sight
The birth of a child is perhaps the most beautiful moment in life, not only for humans but also for animals, including dogs. Breeders like Bethany often witness the arrival of a new fur baby, and every time, it is more special.
Just one day in August, a Miniature Dachshund puppy named Smitten was born in her premises in Fort Worth, Texas, and the dog mom had the privilege of licking the baby right away as a sign of immense love.
However, at that moment, Bethany thought of Dad, whom she felt was unfairly forgotten. Because of that, she decided to immediately take the puppy to meet him and give Dad a chance to lick him. Aside from that, she and her employees wanted to see his reaction.
“We wanted to get his reaction and see how he would respond to his newest puppy,” Bethany said in an interview.
She recorded this scene using her mobile phone and it was “so cute” that she decided to share the video with her Instagram followers via her account, @lulutheween.
The viewers could see the little brown puppy in her hand approaching his dad who can not hide his happiness as if he felt immense love.
When he got close enough to him, Dad first sniffed him confusedly for a few seconds, and when he realized who it was, his eyes lit up with happiness and he started licking him.
What is perhaps the sweetest in this video is the reaction of the other Dachshunds who jumped around the dad and his baby, unable to hide their happiness and delight at witnessing this heartwarming moment.
Of course, Bethany herself was over the moon and the words written in the caption of the video prove that: “Can’t believe I got this on camera.”
