Dog Sisters Who’ve Never Known Life Without Each Other Get The Most Heartwarming Surprise

Dog Sisters Who’ve Never Known Life Without Each Other Get The Most Heartwarming Surprise

When Layla and Lola arrived at their local shelter, they swore an oath that they would have each other’s back until they found a loving family willing to take them in.

It didn’t take too much time for somebody to take them home; however, their stay at their new home would be short-lived.

The adorable sisters were picked up from the shelter two more times, but when they found themselves back at the shelter yet again, they believed that in this world, they only had each other.

But everything changed when Humans and Animals United (HAAU) learned about their story.

Help Is On The Way

Rosa Fond, the founder of this non-profit animal rescue in Florida, immediately got on the case and did everything she could to get these poor babies into their care.

After raising emergency funds to collect the pups from the shelter and searching extensively for a loving foster home willing to take them both, Fond not only managed to pull them out of the shelter but changed their lives forever.

Arriving at the shelter to pick up Layla and Lola, the HAAU volunteers were bursting with excitement and joy. However, their emotions doubled as soon as they saw the two pups’ reaction when they found out what was going on!

“Seeing them leave the shelter [that] kept them safe until we arrived brings tears to our eyes. The girls have a new beginning, and this time, it will be a forever happily ever after!” HAAU wrote on Facebook.

Luckily for us, they captured the entire moment, posting it on their social media, letting us in on the love:

@humansandanimalsunited ❤️🐾🎉 LAYLA AND LOLA HAVE BEEN RESCUED BY HUMANS AND ANIMALS UNITED!!!! Please honor pledges via PayPal at [email protected] or via Venmo at humansandanimals-unitedinc or via Zelle at 8137631199 The girls have a new beginning and this time it will be a forever happily ever after! Seeing them leave the shelter who kept them safe until we arrived brings tears to our eyes. It was a celebration which we would like to share with all of you! Thank you for helping us save these girls! It wasn't an easy task as we had to work through a holiday weekend but we did it!!!!! Layla and Lola are now at the vet. They have found a foster home where they will be transported to once cleared medically. We are looking forward to seeing these girls decompress, play and have their 1st night sleep. We cannot thank everyone enough for yet again being part of saving these lives who need us the most! 🥺 Their Story…. 🚨‼️ RESCUE ONLY!!!!! Being Euthanized is not rescued. Shelter has been blasting for help for a while without anyone stepping up. Layla and Lola are on their 3rd trip to Rockdale AC in Conyers GA. The owner has reclaimed them reluctantly 2 times and each time they come back in worse shape than before. We believe he is only reclaiming to avoid citations😳😡 Lola is 62 pounds and Layla is 65 pounds and both are heart worm negative and about 2 years old. NEED TO BE FULLY VETTED, SKIN ISSUES, ABCESS ON NECK ON ONE OF THEM, EAR INFECTION ON ANOTHER. They seem to be lab hound mixes and are sweet with people and good with other dogs. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE RESCUE THESE GIRLS TO SAVE THEM??? We do not believe the owner will reclaim this time. Rockdale County Ga #AC1291 #AC1804 ❤️🐾 Thank you all for your continued support in our rescue mission 🐾❤️ #HumansandAnimalUnited #georgia #animalrescue #rosafond #humansandanimalsunited #coralsprings #savinglives #rescuedogsoftiktok #HAAU #rockdalecounty #fosterssavelives #florida ♬ som original – Casais Perfeitos

The volunteers drove Layla and Lola to a local veterinary hospital, where the excited girls received a thorough checkup. As soon as the vet deemed them as fit as a fiddle, they were brought to the Florida rescue to meet the others.

Foster Home

Since it was obvious that keeping the sisters together would be in their best interest, a foster home that could give them double the love was necessary.

“They are bonded. We would never [separate] them. They need [and] depend on each other. [It’s] the only way to do right by these girls,” HAAU wrote in a comment on Facebook.

Being such an adorable duo, a loving family offered to help them and take them in. As soon as they arrived, Layla and Lola were completely head over heels for them!

“As promised, these girls have been kept together. Fully vetted, they are settling in perfectly at their foster home,” HAAU wrote on Facebook.

I am sure that when the time is right, these sweet girls will find themselves a loving forever home in which they can finally live a life of happy, active pups.

For the time being, however, I am sure that they are more than happy in their foster home, surrounded by loving hoomans who are making sure they have everything they need and so much more.

“They are definitely lucky girls,” HAAU wrote in a Facebook comment.
