Have you ever sat on your couch relaxing or maybe watching TV, while suddenly noticing something out of place?
Well, that is exactly what happened to Cheyenne. However, when she went over to check out what it was, she was left puzzled.
A Mysterious Ball Of Fur
While relaxing at home with her daughter and her dog, named Sheldon, Cheyenne Benzo noticed something that caught her eye.
Laying on her living room floor, right next to Sheldon’s bed, Cheyenne noticed a little ball of Sheldon’s fur.
Considering that Sheldon sheds a lot, Cheyenne didn’t think too much about it.
“Sheldon is basically a fur tornado. I’m used to fluff balls in the house,” said Cheyenne.
However, there was something about this ball of fur that just looked different. It seemed to be a lot denser than all the other ones and, more importantly, it was moving all on its own.
Cheyenne was left shocked. “There was a lot of initial confusion. I got down on the floor with my flashlight and realized the fur ball had eyes.”
Mystery Solved
Upon further investigation, Cheyenne discovered that the ball of fluff was actually a little tree frog.
Since the body of a tree frog is soft and sticky, it had managed to get all caught up in Sheldon’s fur.
“I have no idea where he came from. He just showed up disheveled and confused,” she said.
Being tangled in the hairs, the frog was unable to hop around. Cheyenne felt bad for the tiny creature and decided that she had to help.
“He let me pull some fluff off of him before he tried to hop, but the poor little guy was having a rough time. He let me pick him up and run some water over him. He was very chill and let me get him clean without moving at all,” Cheyenne said.
After having his little bath, the frog was back to being his old hoppy self.
Since Cheyenne had a quite curious daughter, she decided to introduce her to Mr. Frog and let her in on this quite funny story“
“My daughter and I took him outside to the stream in the yard. He stayed chilling in the grass under a hibiscus tree while we went back inside,” she said.
Final Word
In the end, everything played out just fine.
“I was really happy to be able to show my daughter how to help and take care of him. She liked going outside to set him free. I’ll encourage that every day,” Cheyenne said.
Not only does this make a funny and interesting story for Cheyenne to tell her friends, but it’s also a very good lesson on kindness for her daughter.
